I can really see why this corgi breeder chooses to have deep-pile carpet in their home
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:10am

Even for Corgi puppies those two are little butterballs.

How is everyone's December going so far?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:51am
Andrew Waterloo:

I woke up cranky, but I am hopeful.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:53am
Amanda:

Maybe the key to everything is to learn how to not be cranky when you wake up.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:00am
Amanda:

I mean, that may sound overly simplistic, but has anyone ever tried it?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:03am
Andrew Waterloo:

Perhaps... I find it better to just roll with the punches and wait patiently for a good cup of coffee whilst prevent several types of eye contact.

Amanda, do you have Jimmy Webb's 5cd set "The Moon's a Harsh Mistress: Jimmy Webb in the Seventies" ? It's awesome, if you really like Webb.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:09am
Amanda:

@Scraps, I don't have it, but it is in the record library here. I have played it many times! I agree, it rules.

Funny story, I walked into a candy store the other day and it smelled pleasantly like peppermint. The lady at the counter told me peppermint oil keeps mice away! Would not work as well in, say, a butcher shop, but in a candy store it is perfect.

Convoy was a#1 hit, incredibly
  11:31am
Mark from Toronto:

They would have had to pay for the song, whichever song they selected. It wouldn't matter to the producers where the money was going to.

There's a mini-documentary about the Showbiz Pizza animatronic band: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1327599/

Avatar 11:39am
Scraps:

Incidentally, the old movie that was parodied is really good, and the end is awful, which is, in the early 1950s, is very rare. And it was not a hit. Very cynical, but good. (Yes, "but".)

@Mark Lightfoot did want a lot more for the song than they were willing to pay and that was the reason they gave (in the DVD commentary) for not using it.
  11:44am
Mark from Toronto:

Where did you get this version? It's not the original.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:45am

@Scraps, I saw it once a super long time ago and I remember liking it a lot! But I really don't remember the end.

I did it again: Radio Bart, totally NOT the season premiere of season 3, it was just at the beginning of the DVD I have. It is episode number 13 in the season. Not that embarrassing now that I have corrected it.
