Drumpf compares to Nixon in terms of an autocratic & insular - actually unbalanced loony - as Chief Executive. Nixon however was experienced & highly competent - in his crepp way. Drumpf is like a big baby. It will be interesting to see how he delegates w/ Pence & the Party (they have Congress too, very unfortunately) - as Duhbya had Cheney to think for him. Politics & bankruptcy defrauding are entirely different...I see it as we have a King now - & we just have to see how the U.S.A. deals w/ that...

• The reason why we bury the dead is to make sure animals don’t get to the body.
• The reason why we place headstones over graves is to know exactly where the body is buried and make sure animals don’t dig up the body.
• The reason why some gravesite have tiny fences around them is to make sure small animals don’t get to the grave and dig up the body.
• The reason why graveyards exist is to enclose the area so as to make sure nobody digs up the body.

So as far as family is concerned, won’t go into the details past my parents are dead and my mom—a Holocaust survivor—had a memorable quote about Hitler. @JakeGould - lost my best friend to this last election. He is a Foxhead and he was spouting rhetoric that was straight "Quisling" 1941. I could not believe it. @Meghan: Yup! Considering her family was destroyed and she spent her teenage years living on the run—mostly in the woods (utterly not joking)—I consider it darkly charming that when she read a passage in the “World Book” encyclopedia, that is when she finally felt comfortable enough to say she thought the guy was crazy. Love her (and my dad) and miss her.

As for the rest of the family… Ehhh…
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:37pm
Meghan:

Always good to have wonderful memories like that! I think we all need to hold onto good moments like that!
  11:37pm
ScottC:

Another friend was promoting the "stab in the back" idea as an excuse for the racist behavior. The idea that the true nation had been somehow stabbed in the back so therefore the true nation has a right to do what it will. This is straight up Mein Kampf - a big part of it...and these fools know no history. Listen and you will hear this stuff.
  11:37pm
JakeGould:

@ScottC: Sad to hear. But I’ve had to make some tough decisions with friends and family in the past 2 decades after family drama, 9-11, this election and other stuff. The biggest, high level takeaway I can give is this: If you are clinging onto some relationship where you hope some major event will knock someone sane… Don’t wait… Some people will never change and are just toxic and sadly those can include friends and family.
  11:39pm
ScottC:

@JakeGould Amen brother. Sadly This is a lesson I keep having to learn...
  11:40pm
JakeGould:

Sorry for anyone who thinks me sharing that stuff is intense… I actually share it sparingly in person with people I know… But nowadays considering Trump is president and “alt-right” and other racists are crawling out of the woodwork, but two cents: Love and trust who you love and trust… Screw the rest…

Always just awed by stories like that JakeG.
...Yeah - I'm sure there were people who thot Hitler was just a hysterical goof w/ a funny moustache. They say Liberals go to bookstores & Conservatives to church. I went to the bookstore & the Drumpf books were cartoon satires in the Humor section. I thot he was a joke - I laughed every time I saw him.
...Then there were Americans who supported Hitler. He was just another Political power. The U.S. turned Jews away, like it wants no refugees now. Capitalism doesn't necessarily have a problem w/ Fascism - it's Socialists it doesn't like...

Reagan had been a Democrat - & Hillary a Goldwater girl (koff koff).

In 1939 China wasn't holding trillions of dollars of Germany's debt. This is a whole new world.

Thanks for the engaging show tonight, Meghan. Your family picked some cool songs. Are you planning to finish with a pie song chosen by Bailey?

Meghan:

No..... just praying she isn't making a mess at home from too much pie!

@Ken: And thanks for the Ron Harris heads up. Him and Abe Vigoda can hang out and complain about Jack Soo making crappy coffee in heaven.
