Favoriting November 15, 2016: STEVEN EMERSON
Steven Emerson joins Devon to discuss his score for noted photographer Katy Grannan's documentary "The Nine" which premiered in NYC last night and screens tomorrow Wed, Nov 14th & 16th at the 2016 DOC NYC Festival at Cinepolis Chelsea. The film explores the lives of marginalized people in California’s Central Valley. Since his early days as drummer and later guitarist/songwriter for 1980's Davis, CA paisley underground band True West, Steven has gone on to release several solo albums, compose music for documentaries, online games, television productions and commercials, publish a collection of poetry, and write and direct his own film "Second Person." Steven performed last night at the post-screening reception of the DOC NYC premiere.
