Or to listen to one of a pile of premium CDs from the last marathon that I've only heard once. I remember reading that the whole smear campaign against cannabis was launched by Hearst because he and his cronies had interests in the timber industry, and the hemp industry was primed to take over. But yes, that was one of the tactics: To demonize marijuana use among the white majority by emphasizing its association with the Black and Hispanic populations.
