Good morning, folks. Anyone got the number for Marketing? I have a great Halloween idea. Every hour of Halloween, you give someone a different gift, kind of like anniversaries are set up. For the six o'clock hour, you give someone an insulated travel mug, seven o'clock is a washcloth set, and so on.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:59am
CarolCrow:

@ Ken: You WANT a washcloth set?? :) :)

"moge"... i've been corrected many times, too.. now i have to walk over to the factory here and see for myself. that story tidbit was the tipping point. i've been here almost 5 years an just drive by.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:22am
CarolCrow:

Actually Bob Moog said half his family pronounced his name like the English version as "moog" and half his family pronounced it like the German version "moge." Bob and his wife decided they liked the German pronunciation, so they went with "moge." It's actually a Dutch name originally. fwiw...

You're welcome! Lovely show!

sad to say the MoogFest was moved to Durham this year, very sad. Asheville loves to overdo its festivals in order to favor our tourist industry. i hope Moog keeps it to itself next year; nothing cool about out-sourcing a party.

FYI: Rupert is the adorable orange kitty on my main playlist page, named after one Rupert Giles (Anthony Stewart Head's character on BTVS). The adorable gray witchy kitty in the moon on today's playlist page is Shanti :)

hehe, i've been listening with just one earpiece this morning and heard the "cowbell" sound off to the side with my uncovered ear; had to put the earphone in to see where the sound was coming from. guess stereo is thw way to go today.

I wonder if Jim Hensen used a Moog or a different brand for the Yips that begins Joe's show right after this. Or some other instrument entirely.

Thanks, Guido :)
