	4:12am coelacanth: damn, i remember when i first heard 19th nervous breakdown. my parents were all about the beatles but didn't want anything to do with the 'stones. i had to sneak it. ...when honky tonk women came on (which seemed to be a top 10 hit forever) they changed the station and i casually left to go upstairs "for something". (to listen to it on an alternate radio)

	4:13am Mark R: Thanks Smilty, appreciate it. Yes that was a real rivalry thing with some people. I always dug 'em both, for different reasons. The Stones were better when they got out of the Beatles shadow. It was starting to happen even before the Beatles broke up.
	4:15am coelacanth: yeah... let it bleed obviously named after let it be; but it was an entirely different animal. - and an equally relevant one.
	4:29am coelacanth: well, i never felt i had to choose between the beatles & the stones; and in jr high school was on the led zeppelin side, and my friends on the grateful dead side were pulling at me. i never did denounce either one, and ultimately joined the pink floyd cult and the doors & David Bowie cults anyway! (and meanwhile was all about steppenwolf from about 7 years old...but i was alone on that one)
	4:32am Mark R: Steppenwolf I thought got kinda bum-rapped as a bubblegum group because they had the audacity to have hit singles. But an album like "Monster" is as solid a rock 'n' roll concept album as anyone has ever produced.
