I could do 10 hours of kalimba, coalacanth. Don't tempt the beast!
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 10:53am doctorjazz:

Technical detail...I have noticed on your show, the volume when you speak is much lower than the music volume, have to turn up my radio to hear you, then I get blasted when the music comes back. Don't know if anyone else has this. I use the pop up from a PC connected to a clock radio.

  11:08am Listener Gregory:

Coelacanth, I think what we need is a new set of blues songs with double numbers, like 22-20, 32-20, and so on. I don't know of any more, but Doug probably has a list.

Perhaps it would be best to start at "01-01 blues" and work up to "99-99 blues," in order.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:16am Doug Schulkind:

Maybe we could have Jonathan Borofsky guest-host, Listener Gregory!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:16am coelacanth:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:16am Parq:

Here for the tail end. Dylan's deserving a lit award, let alone Alfred's, is up for debate, but I love it because, like so much else, it's making the right wing entertainingly apoplectic.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:19am Doug Schulkind:

Part of the problem with the inconsistent levels is that the quality of the MP3s I play are all over the map. It requires more wrangling and levels monitoring than I am providing. I should do better (I tell myself practically every week.)

Good welcome, Parq! I'd enjoy watching right-wing veins throb with you.

There are two kinds of pity. One, the weak and sentimental kind, which is really no more than the heart's impatience to be rid as quickly as possibe of the painful emotion aroused by the sight of another's unhappiness, that pity which is not compassion, but only an instinctive desire to fortify one's own soul against the sufferings of another; and the other, the only kind that counts, the unsentimental but creative kind, which knows what it is about and is determined to hold out, in patience and forbearance, to the very limit of its strength and even beyond.
