October 11, 2016: SIMON HANES (Tredici Bacci)
Simon "Luxardo" Hanes, bandleader of NYC 14-piece Tredici Bacci, joins Devon in the studio to discuss the band's first full-length "Amore Per Tutti" to be released on November 11th by NNA Tapes. The album is inspired by 60's and 70's Italian and French soundtracks, spaghetti westerns, big band jazz and lounge music with a cast of guest contributors including JG Thirwell (Foetus/Venture Bros.), Jennifer Charles (Elysian Fields/Lovage), Charlie Looker (Zs/Dirty Projectors) and Italian composer/multi-instrumentalist Vincenzo Vasi. Hanes played bass for the Boston-based Guerilla Toss and Cloud Becomes Your Hand. Tredici Bacci's record release show is Nov 12th at Market Hotel with Oneida & Rhys Chatham.
