Doug, I am back in school too actually to get certified as a teacher, and last summer I just had to keep my head down and slog through it. Kind of sucked and still haven't gotten a new job but will pay off soon hopefully.

Doug, I had to study about eightenn years ago to be an Industrial Engineer. Not easy, gets your arse twitching sometimes especially as there are 'youngsters' in the class. Once you find a groove it will draw you in. Not a question of talent but application.

i rarely drink beer at home, due to my love for it, but i was at the grocery a few days ago to meet a friend and i picked up a single bottle of my favorite to drink while i waited for her. well.. she was there early, so i have a beer in the fridge! yay for me. it's wine i always have on hand and a bottle of vodka or gin.

There are some wonderful modern flamenco dancers (dressed down) as well as the traditional (drssed to the nines). You have to be there like most worthwhile musical experiences.

The voice quality of flamenco singers always interests me. I asked a guy who sang with a local flamenco ensemble about how he achieved and maintained that very particular sound. He said his previous years singing everything from screaming punk to varied things in Cerberus Shoal had pushed and practiced and prepped the pipes.

Doug, as a Maine coast appreciator/visitor, you should think about a trip with the fam to Monhegan Island. I was there a few days this week and had a great time. Rugged rock/cliff east shore for viewing/scrambling, woods trails, appealing village and even a wee brewery!

Anyway, this kid worked in produce. One day, a tarantula came spilling out of a banana sack, and he took the critter home as a pet.
