IN many cities in the US, streetcars were removed in the 1950's and 1960's. I visited Pittsburgh in the 1970's and it still had streetcars then. Some of them painted in Peter Max style.

There is an old-age home in Dusseldorf where the built a fake bus stop outside. Whenever a resident wanders away, they just go collect them at the bus stop. where the person is waiting patiently.
