Hiya, Nate and good morning. Hello, fred and mauri.
Irma Thomas just kills.

Good day Fred. A burning summer sunday here. Hows it there?
Damn these songs are good.
Hey Sem.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:31am
fred:

Burning here too, to my dismay. I'm a winter person
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:36am
Sem Chumbo:

After a broiling start to summer, we now have early October weather, cool and wet. Maybe more your taste @fred.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:43am
fred:

@Sem: Cool sounds good. Wet not so much. I walk a lot, and fast, so dry cold is best for me. Water slows me down. Heat makes for too much sweat to wipe off, and I hate that burning sensation when it gets into my eyes

Nate K.:

Hi folks, thanks for dropping by.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:49am
Nate K.:

What do you think the worst Rolling Stones record is?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:49am
Sem Chumbo:

Hey, duke. Hello.
@fred: daily walker myself, agree on all your points.
  6:53am
Jeff:

The CYNICS !!!!!!! Thanks for the shirt. Nate. GREAT show !!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:55am
fred:

@Nate: I honestly can't say: I don't like the Rolling Stones. The one song I do like is Gimme Shelter, and I like most covers better than the original
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:03am
Sem Chumbo:

@Nate: pretty much stopped listening with any enthusiasm to the Stones after Exiles, w/ Some Girls having a few flashes of interest. But after '78, didn't give a shit about them.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:05am
fred:

@Sem: I actually enjoy picking off icicles from my hair after walking to or from work. Sadly, we had no real winter this year
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:16am
Nate K.:

@Sem that's exactly what I always say. I lose interest after Exile, but I like Some Girls.
  7:16am
ratty:

dude, you are the man.. play that sucker three times IN A ROW.. burn it DOWN
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:17am
Nate K.:

Thanks, @ratty!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:17am
Nate K.:

Hey @Jeff, I'm glad you like the shirt.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:25am
fred:

I'm still waiting for that shirt, but it's all good: after De Kift next week there will be nothing happening here until September. Then will be the time to represent
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:31am
Nate K.:

Hey Fred, sorry about that. I know Scott and the gang are slugging away getting the swag out the door.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:36am
fred:

@Nate: don't be sorry, I know the drill.
I wish I got it later, because that would mean I could afford to pledge more

G'day, eh?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:01am
Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

I'd still run a mile to see the Stones Live - but I literally just don't remember being excited about a new Stones record. It would be interesting to review their later stuff & see if anything's being ignored...I mean, I'm a Who fanatic, & I haven't checked their latest. Daltrey says there's no more music biz - why should they make a record?! Maybe this is like PostIndustrial Society - enuff has been made already; yes - an amazing thing about 'GarageRawk; (1960sPunk, what have you) is that there are still rekkids being found - & so many are interesting...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:02am
Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...Monkees, on the other hand...
  8:06am
Pete L:

thats a great Monkees track
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:08am
fred:

It's so sad that you didn't even check out the Who's latest record. Such an indictment of what they are now.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:08am
Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

You just get out of habits.
  8:09am
Pete L:

i was just thinking yesterday: has enough art been made already? MUSIC? so much is bad
NAWWW thats ridiculous
if the MONKEES....
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:13am
Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

It was such a thing growing up & even having to special order Albums & collecting The Beatles & Who & seeing what a statement each one was - & being immersed. I'm just old enuff that w/ TheWho some was even in realtime.
Now I get that shot of dopamine from FMU & other streams & from podcasts.
It's like Culture has caught up w/ The Monkees - expect them to not write the songs & have session players & whatever. It took 30 years to be informed 'Pet Sounds' was behind Pepper. & The Stones will own the Live Tour world no matter what happens. It's all odd...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:13am
fred:

@RRN63: that's cold, but if you say so, warranted
@Pete L: if you think enough art has been made, it just means you're old
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:14am
Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

It's probably worthy Townshend writing & my loss. Everybody seems happy to pay & see TheWho Live these days.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:16am
Nate K.:

Yeah, I originally dismissed that Monkees record out of hand, but there are few excellent tracks on it.
  8:16am
Pete L:

is this Idris guy recent? so late Albert Ayler
Hedwig played Bardo Pond covering Ayler - remarkable, never heard that
@RRN63 - obviously ! old enough
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:27am
Nate K.:

@Pete, the record was recorded in 2015, but he's not a young guy specifically.
  8:30am
Pete L:

thanks Nate really enjoying the show
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:47am
Sem Chumbo:

Gonna need a serious all-over burn ointment rubdown after this morning's show, Nate. Been as hot as a solar flare. See you, and all, next time.
