	10:19am coelacanth: my unsolicited 2 cents is that Billy Jam is correct on that. a dictionary from 1933 has "Gaelic" as "the Celtic language". under "Irish" it does not mention a language as a use of it as a noun. ...my guess is that gaelic * as it has evolved * is called irish in ireland to differentiate from the same language (also technically called "Gaelic") as it has evolved in other regions. ...(should i duck?)

	10:19am coelacanth: my unsolicited 2 cents is that Billy Jam is correct on that. a dictionary from 1933 has "Gaelic" as "the Celtic language". under "Irish" it does not mention a language as a use of it as a noun. ...my guess is that gaelic * as it has evolved * is called irish in ireland to differentiate from the same language (also technically called "Gaelic") as it has evolved in other regions. ...(should i duck?)
