I would like to put in a request for some nice music to dream to as I sleep. That cog-dis sounded great. I laugh at the word vaporwave, but yeah, some of that stuff is nicely done.
Avatar 4:09am
Scraps deSelby:

rateyourmusic says:

"Vaporwave is a primarily sample-based genre characterized by heavily synthesized and processed manipulation of corporate mood and background music (infomercials, menu screens, instructional videos, office lobbies, hotel reception areas, shopping malls, etc.), though it can include a multitude of genres (most commonly Pop, Contemporary R&B, Synth Funk, Smooth Jazz & Exotica). Vaporwave often consists of brief sketches altered by slowing down, looping, glitching, pitch-bending, and/or echoing a particular sound or sample in a compressed state, usually under reverberation."

So yeh me and my got into a fight over that Garcia song. I'm going home now
Avatar 4:13am
Scraps deSelby:

It sounds intriguing. On the other hand, the only thing I heard much of is Saint Pepsi, which is awful, even worse than you would think judging from their stoopid name.

@Ice: Need some details on that...

Hey, Sean, thanks for checking in.

@Ice: You were arguing over what to play at the countdown? Admittedly, that Garcia tune is a tough one for party atmospheres, not like I know what parties are like but i can imagine

Everybody does "Just Like Tom Thumb's Blues" -- it's probably the most covered song on the album. Wading through so many versions was really hard. I liked the castanets in Bryan Ferry's version.
Avatar 4:47am

@Franny: Thanks!

It's my hope that you go back and listen to the show in full as its intended ;)
