I brought my daughter when she was a baby, but I think she was atleast a year old by that point.

But eating remnants of bad food that might be worth like $2 at most could end up costing you more when you are sick. I am aware of this after getting food sick last week. Just throw the stuff out!

	11:16pm Mike East: No way Carmichael...we are DONE! We are on a big "no food waste" kick right now - as I mentioned, money's pretty tight - yesterday I told my family the "5 second rule" has been expanded to the "30 second rule"
	11:17pm JakeGould: @Irene: Thanks! And on a positive note, being knocked out for 3 days like that after having that death flu earlier in the month has pushed me back on the “Eat healthy; avoid crap; pay $2-3 more for better food…” wagon again. Never again!
	11:18pm JakeGould: @MikeEast: Well, I mean that if there is a risk of food getting spoiled is the value of $4-5 worth of food more than you being rendered sick for 2 days? So yeah… I grew up poor… I know how to the stretch food budgets… But there has got to be a limit.

	11:21pm Irene Trudel: Jake, I'm with ya! We've been trying to eat a little healthier-- except for too many nights when we have to order out because we work so late. I cook when I can.
	11:22pm JakeGould: Yeah, the way I see it nowadays is if I have to work in a scenario where I don’t have a dietary choice the other days when I do have that choice balance it out. I’m no food Nazi!

	11:23pm Mike East: @JakeGould - I absolutely agree. I'm very careful. I've had food poisoning, too, so I feel your pain. I'm really just trying to economize what we have in the fridge before it even becomes of question and I have to do the smell test.
	11:24pm Mike East: I worked a gig on Saturday and got really nervous that I got food poisoning from the craft services table, but it turned out I was just exhausted, anxious, and drank way too much coffee.

	11:26pm JakeGould: @MikeEast: Good plan. The nice thing though about being at home on “diaper duty” is you also theoretically have more time to cook for yourself. Like real cooking that takes a good few hours. Also, after this food poisoning incident I highly recommend a new food thing to deal with exhaustion: Coconut water. It’s not a magic cure-all, but if you are stressed and dehydrated it really balances you out well.

	11:34pm Listener Robert: Catching up on comments, it looks like TWO of you are on "diaper duty", but in different ways. Most cases of food poisoning I don't think come from too-long storage of food in the refrigerator, but from stuff that was mishandled to begin with.

	11:39pm Van in DC: BTW, this past Sunday, David Gilmour, in his live performance of "Comfortably Numb", in the guitar solo, swerved into "Purple Rain" than back to his song. It was an amazing tribute and totally awesome. It's on the YouTubes.

Having "contributions" from a thousand cows in one burger increases the odds that something may go very wrong. So one bad apple suddenly becomes everybody's problem instead of someone's problem.

Since 1984, Speed the Plough has been weaving intricate rhythms and melodies into their engaging chamber-rock music. Despite many member changes, they're still based in Haledon, NJ and have re-booted to include a couple of family members in the sextet. Like real cooking that takes a good few hours. Also, after this food poisoning incident I highly recommend a new food thing to deal with exhaustion: Coconut water. It’s not a magic cure-all, but if you are stressed and dehydrated it really balances you out well.

Having "contributions" from a thousand cows in one burger increases the odds that something may go very wrong. So one bad apple suddenly becomes everybody's problem instead of someone's problem.
