P-90:

OK, excuse the strange punctuation, I'm commenting from iPad and the FMU IOD app sometimes does funny things with comments...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:04pm
Amanda:

This feeling we feel: is it wrong? Is it right? Is it real?

P-90:

[ IOS app] see? It messes with me
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:07pm
Amanda:

P-90, it's OK. It is like bad closed-captioning, you can understand roughly what is being said. ;-)

A song honoring National Walking Day? Good! www.heart.org...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:10pm

@Ken HP, totally unintentional obvs, I love when that happens though. Of course for me every day is NWD.

i go for a long walk at least once every two weeks to try to turn my brain off - most common path is from the northern to southern tip of Brooklyn (Greenpoint to Coney Island), about 13 miles. my record is Greenpoint to Coney Island and back (probably 25-30 miles) in 9-10 hours.
Avatar 12:29pm
@sugarwolf@:

I did a lot of walking on Friday! I think it amounted to at least 2.5 miles...
Avatar 12:30pm

Good timing, Doug. Today is my 10-year-old's school's monthly "walk/roll" to school day. We walked. Rolling gets one dusty, albeit without gathering moss.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:04pm
Jeff Golick:

Living in NYC, I feel like I do not take advantage of the cultural buffet on offer at all times, but I make up for it by walking all over the place. It's one of my favorite things to do in the city, just walk around. (In fact, there's a Marshall Crenshaw song that sums it all up nicely...)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:04pm
doctorjazz:

Is this JM in the AM?
  1:04pm
MONEYBAG$:

We had to sing this in elementary school, which was kind of weird
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:07pm
Amanda:

Yeah, seems like one that we'd sing in school too -- a parochial (Episcopalian) school that went to lengths to represent many cultures... but I somehow managed not to know it until later.

MONEYBAG$:

Pallets are so rad
Avatar 1:10pm

Pallets and warehouses are gone (for most part). Everything is on trucks.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:14pm

I saw a ton of pallets the last time I was at Mitsuwa Mart
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:17pm

Might Lullaby of Love be arranged by Charles Calello?

Amazing amazing ep on many levels.

When my wife and I went to the hospital when she was about to have our first kid, I remember The Simpsons being on the TV at the waiting room. It was kind of riveting, and it seemed so wrong to be distracted!

The evening of my dad's last full day on earth, I kept looking up at the NFL Pro Bowl game that was on the TV.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:37pm

"Still better than working for Steinbrenner" got a huge laugh from my more baseball-inclined fellow viewers at the time.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:41pm
Doug Schulkind:

More than thirty years ago, Terry Cashman created separate versions of "Talkin' Baseball" customized for each Major League team. I sent away for and still have my 45rpm Baltimore Orioles version.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:42pm
Ken From Hyde Park:

Oh well. I guess it's not your fault. You did a good job.

@ndbob, it was not my intention to disrupt Amanda or her show with the news. My apologies if that offended you in some way. This is a music-heavy chat board, and I simply assumed it was information that would interest people. My apologies to anyone else who this prematurely bummed out.

Many thanks, Amanda!
Nate, I think chat board folk faced the same decision during Therese's show re: David Bowie. If I have to find out things like this anywhere, I'd rather find out from fellow FMU folks.
