	4:07am pacific standard simon: I have to admit, this sounds a little bit like a National Lampoon Radio Hour parody.
	4:08am Mark R.: The main reason Muddy didn't like it was because his band couldn't re-create this sound on stage.
	4:11am Mark R.: Listening to this album right now on the studio headphones is truly amazing! It's so awful, it's good. It's awfully good. Pete Cosey, who later played with Miles, plays on this album, too.

	4:14am Mark R.: Mary's speechless. Back in the library there's a switch to listen to the show on the air or not, and she's got it turned off. That's a statement in itself.
	4:15am pacific standard simon: I was listening to The Hot Spot soundtrack this evening, which is a nice example of electric blues/rock/jazz fusion.

	4:17am Mark R.: I love that soundtrack. My understanding it wasn't much of a movie, but the soundtrack was great. Thanks for reminding me of that one, I have to listen to that one later.

	4:49am Mark R.: By the way, that wasn't my usual technical ineptitude, all that wow and flutter was just Andrew Bird messing with us.
	4:59am pacific standard simon: Charlie Hunter makes his 8-string guitar sound like an organ. Don't know how -- maybe a pedal.

	5:08am pacific standard simon: There was a contemporary rock press story that there was a massive difference between the sound of the official release, and the sound of the bootleg -- and it favored the bootleg.
	5:11am pacific standard simon: You can listen to that and not anticipate all the weirdness that was to come in Elton's career.
	5:12am Tommy Haynes: NO way EJ played and sung and played that at the same time .He did it as an instrumental and overdubbed the singing later
