Hi, Joe and Monday listeners. Is it any coincidence that "Holding Back" sounds like The Smithereens playing it?
  12:17pm Steve s:

Death by Unga Bunga - So good! Great show!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:32pm JP from KC:

Greetings, all! Looks like I need to get myself a copy of this album, I love everything I've heard from them so far.
Avatar 12:37pm just dc pat:

OK JoeB, help me out. Can't figureout whether Knights of the New Crusade were serious or not. Sorry if this was already discussed..
Avatar 12:41pm Joe B:

Greetings everyone! thanks for tuning in, sorry a little hectic in here, will try to catch up on the comments
Avatar 12:42pm Joe B:

Pat, I've either been sworn to secrecy or don't know myself! that is the best I can do!
Avatar 👻 12:42pm David Shortell:

Did anyone here catch the Death By Unga Bunga show at the Saint on Saturday?
Avatar 12:44pm just dc pat:

Perfect answer, thanks Joe.
Avatar 12:45pm SmokinJ:

Saucy Jacks! Yeah!
Avatar 12:45pm Todd-o-phonic Todd:

@just dc pat: Every band heard on the Three Chord Monte show is serious.
Avatar 👻 12:46pm David Shortell:

That the Knights singer was Mike from the Phantom Surfers might tell you how serious they were!
Avatar 12:46pm just dc pat:

@Todd: got it, thanks.
Avatar 12:50pm just dc pat:

On to something more important: I got a jalapeño chip fragment stuck between my teeth. I might have to go out and buy some dental floss...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:05pm Asheville Jon:

YAY for the Sins! Used to see them in Bethlehem at the Funhouse, and around the Lehigh Valley. Ah, the good old days.
This makes me want to break out my Sins albums and blast them super loud!
Thanks!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:06pm joe:

I got turned on to the Original Sins when I stumbled on a promo copy of Move that a local record store was selling for like 2 bucks and I loved the cover and because Peter Bucks name was on it and hey I knew he was so why not.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:08pm Asheville Jon:

They were so good. I am still sad they are no longer.
The cover of Big Soul was taken at the bar of the Funhouse. TINY bar on Fourth St in Bethlehem.
Avatar 1:10pm Toots:

There is nothing better than that last track.
Avatar 👻 1:12pm David Shortell:

Unable to listen lately, I made my pledges online. By some error, instead of going to the programs I intended, some of my pledges were credited to "(More Than A Few) Exciting Moments" (no offense to the host of that program).
Avatar 1:12pm Joe B:

thanks David. appreciate it, it all goes to the same pot!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:13pm joe:

Yeah I actually have been there a few times. ONce for the Mark Smith tribute show and a few other times. REally dig that place.
Avatar 1:13pm Joe B:

I agree Toots!
Avatar 1:13pm Joe B:

agree Jon and Joe on the Sins. so great and underrated.
Avatar 👻 1:14pm David Shortell:

3 years ago at Johnny Brenda's, I saw a version of the Original Sins which included Sam from the GTV's.
Avatar 1:16pm geezerette:

Sometimes it suddenly hits me that rock 'n roll is just another historical style. Nuthin' wrong with that, I love it anyway, but it's so hard to bring anything new to any of the forms. Gonna shut up now & get back to work. This is one of my favorite shows so no reflection on it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:17pm Asheville Jon:

I (kinda) remember hearing The Sins on WMUH in Allentown before I was able to see them live. Fortunately they got played a lot! Big Soul got a pretty good write up in Rolling Stone too.
Avatar 1:18pm Joe B:

yes i remember the rolling stone review - that was pretty shocking. they did review Move also, IIRC
Avatar 1:19pm Joe B:

geezerette, if it ain't broke ... !
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:19pm Asheville Jon:

I still have the RS review, tucked in the sleeve of the LP. :)
Avatar 1:21pm Joe B:
