Morricone is great. The Hateful Eight was dreadful.

I tend to agree, Jeff, but if I won one, I would tend to disagree.

I pass out marathon pledges like little league participation awards, but I choose my DJ premiums like Nobel prizes.

Theodor Bikel and Bowie got mentioned in the "In Memoriam" reel.

"This May Be The Last Time" ain't all that different from "I Can't Get No Satisfaction", as it turns out.

I heard a little bit of "jumpin' jack flash" in that long guitar intro too...
  3:57am
greysquad:

And maybe a bit of "gomper" as well?

Hey that's awesome that you got PG Six to record a track, given his output is kinda limited these days... worth the price of admission right there!

Yeah, Pat (and everybody I asked) said "yes" to the project without hesitation.

I'm going to continue listening just a little less consciously. Play anything really loud and I'll jump out of bed and send the cat flying. Night all.

I've got this on vinyl as well, and honestly it sounds better than mine... though radio does "amplify" the pops a bit more...

Would have sworn this was Neil Young from the voice, and was wondering what Neil Young song it was that I hadn't heard before!
Avatar 5:32am
Jeff Conklin:

Aww, thanks, Sybil. You're familiar with Bob's Records? They're being reissued soon...
  5:38am
Sybil:

Really?

I lived in the DC area when this came out, he got a lot of play on the station I used to listen to (whose call letters I've forgotten, but Doug Schulkind has mentioned it at times). Also, weird coincidence, my uncle was his doctor. It's nice to hear his stuff again.
