Live performance by Davis Rogan with Jason Isaac
New Orleans pianist/songwriter Davis Rogan is one of those local characters whose story is as large as the community he's a part of. Rogan scored the HBO series "Treme," drawing on his longtime residency in that neighborhood, and the Davis McAlary character, played by Steve Zahn, was even based on him. He's DJ'd at WWOZ-FM, rapped with ’90s funk-rap band All That, and even taught music in the Orleans Parish Public Schools. On his three album releases Davis shows a passionate love of New Orleans culture and music, twisted together with his oddball sense of humor. Davis Rogan was joined by Afroskull percussionist Jason Isaac for a live performance on Irene's show.
