Favoriting February 2, 2016: NFL Films Music (Super Bowl Edition)
Anyone who remembers the old NFL Films highlight shows ("NFL Game of the Week") will fondly remember the music of synth pioneer Sam Spence or KPM library music production composers Johnny Pearson, Syd Dale and Keith Mansfield. For most football fans, the music is etched into their memories. Nobody knew the names of the songs nor the composers but they surely recognized the music when they heard it. Back to familiar ground. CBS used it for a while to introduce their NFL telecasts, but later for tennis, which made much more sense: "Back and forth, and forth and back, doo-doo doo-doo...."
