	1:56am JakeGould: To me the way “Star Wars” is understandable is this: The first 1977 film was a surprise hit and a decent standalone film. Then the second film in 1980 (“The Empire Strikes Back”) was an unexpected hit… And—this is key—that film was far more deep and had character depth the first film never really had. A truly adult film that kids could enjoy… Then “Return of the Jedi” turned into a bunch of teddy bears and pandering directly to kids. And everything after those films—prequels and the new sequel—are just pandering more and more to kids.
	1:57am coelacanth: rw i just wasn't interested in it as a child; and without that foundation there's no reason to waste my time on it as an adult. ...i'd go see a planet of the apes movie though!

A McDonalds version of the way you get burgers from a diner: Opened up with one side that has the hot stuff on 1/2 of the bun and the other that has the cold stuff (lettuce, tomatoes and onions) on the other 1/2 of the bun. But it was McDonalds.
	2:08am coelacanth: Jake i just looked and there was only one after "conquest..." (?) -i've only seen that and the first one and i was really young (saw conquest of in the theatre the first time around),but i liked both of them.

	2:09am coelacanth: i saw octopussy in the 80s on tv. it just blends in with other bond films i my head.
	2:15am coelacanth: Jake that's part of it for sure; and i'm not into milked formulas either...but i'm also not that into movies. i've always liked them,but they (and tv) were always (literally) overshadowed by music. - i'd probably hate all those ape sequels, now that i think about it! the whole story was told in the first one.

	2:27am BadGuyZero: I do like the Bond movies. I haven't seen "Spectre" yet. I don't even know if it's still playing in theaters. Some of those Roger Moore movies are lousy. But he was in my favorite Bond movie - "For Your Eyes Only" - so he's ok in my book solely because of that.
	2:28am Matt from Springfield: I mean I always tend to like the stuff coming from Brazil, whether Os Mutantes, Seu Jorge, bossa nova or the other varied styles. I like that the last song was acoustic and had a touch of earlier, bossa nova influence in it. That's all :)

	1:56am JakeGould: To me the way “Star Wars” is understandable is this: The first 1977 film was a surprise hit and a decent standalone film. Then the second film in 1980 (“The Empire Strikes Back”) was an unexpected hit… And—this is key—that film was far more deep and had character depth the first film never really had. A truly adult film that kids could enjoy… Then “Return of the Jedi” turned into a bunch of teddy bears and pandering directly to kids. And everything after those films—prequels and the new sequel—are just pandering more and more to kids.
