Hi, Michael,
Wow! I knew Lloyd Price back in 1963 when he had Double L Records; he'd give me 45s to play on WBRU in Providence. Once when I was visiting he had to run out, but he got me invited to Motown's NYC office when the Motortown Review was there. Thanks to him I got to meet Stevie Wonder and members of The Temptations and The Contours. I don't know if I ever thanked Lloyd properly, but please pass this note on to him if you can.
Best always.

@djsheilah, thank you! And we actually played most of what he gave us on the air - his big band ("Billie Baby"); "Misty," of course; Pookie Hudson's "I Know, I Know"; and the wonderful early "If You Need Me" by Wilson Pickett. And I almost forgot Roy Tyson's late doo-wop masterpiece, "Oh What A Night for Love." It was a great label. It was sad about Harold Logan's early passing - he was a really good guy to me, too. - And yes, Sheilah, way too long!
