Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:07pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Hi, Bill. Hope your Christmas was nice and full of rock and roll!
  3:10pm DaveinPA:

Great sounds for this gloomy post-festivity day...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:22pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

'Come See About Me' has like three hooks. Dinosaur Jr. did a good cover.
Avatar 3:26pm Marc Francis:

Howdy Bill Kelly. Howdy all!
  3:32pm Listener Robert:

Xmas isn't over until Greek small Xmas is over. Small Xmas is 12th night, & if I figure right (because 2000 was a leap yr.), the 12th day in the Julian calendar comes on Jan. fuckin' 17th of the Gregorian. Or when the last needle falls off the tree.

I learned recently that Yule was originally celebrated about the middle of Jan., so party on, Garth.
Avatar 3:39pm Marc Francis:

I agree Listener Robert! It definitely goes on thru New Years up here in Quebec. My wife and I celebrate until about the 6th!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:43pm Ken From Hyde Park:

To some, the end occurs at 3:00 PM on the day of the IBJ Holiday Party. montyhall.ticketfly.com January 10, 2016, this time around.

Ken, now that's a calendar I can heartily endorse
Avatar 3:51pm TehBadDr:

I like Roberts strange calendar abstraction. Hello all!
Avatar 3:53pm Marc Francis:

Avatar 3:57pm TehBadDr:

  4:00pm noel:

Avatar 4:01pm Mailman Tom:

This was a big hit until the Beatles wiped it off the charts
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:01pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

(...I will miss the BonzoDog dialogue...)
  4:01pm noel:

give enough money to the show and he'll call it in to you
Avatar 4:03pm TehBadDr:

Hmmm, ok then. Most fmu dj's kinds do it live, the play list that is. ;^P
  4:09pm Al:

Russia, then Germany. Teenage Wasteland International!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:12pm fred:

@TehBadDr: Good things come to those who wait, or something like that. Bill has done his show long enough to make his own rules
Avatar 4:14pm TehBadDr:

@Fred, fair enough. That last tune made me wonder if we should have been instructed to drop beforehand, current tune as well.
  4:16pm noel:

Jonesey tells us nuthin'
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:17pm fred:

Just wait until he back-announces what he played. I think that's the way he wants it (playlists do come up, but there are no timestamp shortcuts)
Avatar 4:25pm glenn:

pretty much all of manitoba is a god forsaken backwater.
Avatar 4:41pm Mailman Tom:

Sounds for an early Winter afternoon.
Avatar 4:53pm cory:

geez fred, do you ever sleep? ;)
8:54pm touched by Mummers & the Fledermaus:

Discogs dates Roulette Records Golden Goodies Hit Series "Eve of Destruction" to 1973, the year Barry McGuire switched to Christian music label Myrrh . . . "The Byrds were offered the song first and passed, so the Turtles debuted it" . . . Jan & Dean recorded it in 1965 using Barry McGuire's backing track, just like the Mamas & Papas did with McGuire's "California Dreamin'" . . . Always thought his BUTT was so mad, feels like coagulating . . .

Back in the day ya had 3 Dog Night rockin' in the New Year on TV, while the neighbor's dad did a cartwheel. WHY does Germany watch "Dinner For One" on New Year's? Got the urge for going to the Mummer's Parade, Jonesey - though you see and hear it way better streamed online
  2:27pm Sam Lacey:

Bill Thanks so much for the airplay for "Fall" Trisha Mason, she is one of our great talents. I love the eclectic play lists the show is so much fun to listen to!
  2:59pm Steve Peer:

Hi Bill, Gotta' thank you again for the T. Mason spins! Lots of us Jersey types hangin' in Maine and WFMU is part of our heritage...KBC Xmas tapes and Pat Duncan's show! Pat would always plug my band TV Toy on his punk rock show. We weren't quite punk enough, but he would make a spot for us. I love all the vintage sounding garage Brit pop stuff you play. I keep guessing it's The Jam or The Buzzcocks only to learn I am SO wrong!!! A wonderful show that I only discovered because of Trisha!
