Nice Black Friday Music here! BTW, my band has a show tonight, considerably less raucous.

What instrument do you play, WH? Let me guess... Steam-powered ukulele, amirite?!

Ooooh....Galactic is coming to Lawrence, KS with Trombone Shorty and his band.

I'm holding out for Steam-Powered Ukulele Shorty. And his band.

Strohs are built for cylinder recording. My band: www.mamalamaband.com , I'm on hammered dulcimer, melodica, tenor recorder and glockenspiel. So, your basic line up for a harp and string section-based ensemble.

Criminy, I had to google you to get here, Doug. The new web site is a quagmire.

Well, here anyway.
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 10:10am Brian in UK:

Howdeedoodee Doug and buckeroos of whatever gender.

I am from the land of the jibber. Speak it fluently.

Trust you folks are suitably stuffed after yesterdays imbibing.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:10am Alex In Illinois:

I Finally made it. I just got in from walking the dog. The new web page has an interesting design, but I encountered issues getting it to make the WFMU Pop-Up player play GTDS. It is a good thing that we can still navigate to the old one. The design and functionality of the old one is still far superior to that of any other web pages of any other radio stations.
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 10:12am Brian in UK:

You can hire a twelve year old at the door to guide you to your seats through the new site, no fees.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:12am Doug Schulkind:

Greetings, βrian, Brian in UK and Alex in Illinois. APOLOGIES for the wonky new website. Many kinks and bugs being squashed behind the scenes. Fingers crossed the problems get worked out soon.
Avatar 10:13am Erella:

Doug, you should get a pedometer just to see how far you walk. It would be fun.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:13am Gary:

Good morning!
Avatar 10:14am Erella:

I hate the new website. It is so slow to load and I find it difficult to find what I am looking for (recent archives page).
  10:15am Dean:

Goddammit. I'm on the road, sitting in a Starbucks for the wireless. They're piping Frank Sinatra xmas tunes over the PA, and I have to listen to them while eyeing the playlist here.
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 10:15am Brian in UK:

@Erella I got one of those for my previous job as a theatre porter, after recording eight plus miles a day, I discarded it as too depressing. I felt knackered enough without knowing the details.
Avatar 🥁 10:16am βrian:

In the very first phase of testing, the site should be vetted for functionality with the browser's javascript disabled. Javascript enhancements are fine, but should never required for basic accessibility and functionality.

Ok, done.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:16am Doug Schulkind:

On the new front page at wfmu.org. you must first click on GIVE THE DRUMMER RADIO and then the "now playing" info pops up, with a link to the playlist and live link.

Hey there, Erella! Some of my colleagues have Fitbits to measure their walking distance. One fellow, who walks not quite as far/long as I do walked eight miles the other day.

G A R Y ! !

Howdy, Dean. I play some Sinatra, too, so you won't miss anything.
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 10:17am Brian in UK:

@Erella go to Programming dropdown and WFMU Mobile you will find a familiar page.
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 10:19am Brian in UK:

This guy is playing at eight miles a minute.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:19am Doug Schulkind:

This album is credited to The Charles Moffett Family. Here is your lineup:

Charnett Moffett ~ bass, trumpet
Mondre Moffett ~ flugelhorn, cornet
Charles Moffett ~ percussion
Codaryl Moffett ~ percussion
Charles Moffett Jr. ~ saxophone

That's a lotta Moffetts.
Avatar 10:20am Erella:

Yikes!
  10:21am Dean:

Jim Henson produce it?
Avatar 10:21am Erella:

It takes clicks and pull down menus and before it was one click. I found it but it is much more imbedded and confusing now.
  10:22am Mr C:

Was this a US release.? Don't remember ever seeing or hearing of it
  10:23am Dean:

Now Sinatra is pitching Christmas Seals. Weird.
Avatar 10:23am hyde:

holy heck, that is a drum solo
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:24am Doug Schulkind:

@Mr C
It was self-released by Mr. Moffett: www.discogs.com...

Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:34am Gary:

Geeta didn't marry Guru Dutt until 1953, so the metadata was technically correct!
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 10:35am Brian in UK:

Hello annie, mention of dragons always gets my wife's attention.
Avatar 🥁 10:36am βrian:

It's true there should be a compelling need for an "upgrade." Alack, technology is slavishly fashion-forward.
Avatar 10:37am annie:

these are the lizards known as Bearded Dragons. they scare the bejesus out of me, though i know they are known to be friendly ... i've seen photos of the family members hugging them.. eeww.. and they are definitely pets..

When you say Donald Trump to mean all Americans, you are a synecdouche.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:43am Alex In Illinois:

Ditto on what Brian posted about testing with JavaScript disabled. The old web page did set some standards pretty high though. I don't know if it actually had any issues whenever it was first rolled out, but it has been working well for such a long time. I have posted links to it as a positive example of what a good web site looks like and how a good web site works. I would guess others have too.
Avatar 10:46am annie:

every time i come to this gig, the remotes for the teevee system get more and more complicated.. now a message comes up telling me some device will now shut off... then t shuts the system down.. "my favorite Wife" is on, good thing i know it by heart.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:47am Doug Schulkind:

Don't think you are going to record a song titled "Crossroads of Tomorrow" and have it not played on the air by me.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:50am Alex In Illinois:

I read that in Brazil, people leave offerings to deities at the crossroads.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:52am Doug Schulkind:

Deities at the Crossroads. Sounds like a master's thesis. Needs a subtitle.
