It's always been both Show & Biz - but I don't think the business model - or economic & social realities now are analogous to what they were in say the 60s. We're encouraged to see the surface & think, for instance, the Top 40 Chart means the same thing it did then. The term 'Post-Modern' in fact may have started w/ Architecture that puts a Classic face on a new structure...

it's been interesting to see Frampton come out the other side of his superstardom and inevitable scorn and put stuff out. Maybe for me it's due to being made to listen to Comes Alive too many times by my older brother.
Frampton actually seems like pretty down-to-earth guy from what I've read and seen in interviews.

What's arbitrary is how they decided to call it the World War, when there'd been other wars involving as many & far-flung countries. The 7 Years' War (part of which was the French & Indian War in North America) was just as much a world war.
