"The Scrapyard Reciprocal Rumbas"...Where DO you find this stuff, and why haven't I heard of it already??
  6:31am
Billy London:

That's some very smooth bed music
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:32am
Cubicle Carl:

Yes, canterbury. That band name has changed my morning.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:42am
Cubicle Carl:

What on earth possessed michaels and scott to commit that version of stayin' alive to vinyl, and for what purpose?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:42am
micah:

if you ask me they were in direct contact with some divine source
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:43am
the Canterbury wood-elf:

@Carl Slightly disappointed to find that the artist was actually "Dartington Hall School" (one of those 60s experimental schools in the UK), from an album called "The Scrapyard / Reciprocal Rumbas" (presumably two named sides). Actually, thinking about it, I knew someone who would have been studying there at the time, but sadly she's no longer with us so I can't ask her if she remembers...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:45am
micah:

oops thanks canterbury
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:49am
Cubicle Carl:

Ah, interesting. Well that makes the actual name "The Scrapyard Reciprocal Rumbas" available for some other band as a kind of an homage.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:52am
the Canterbury wood-elf:

Wow! This "Fairy Tale" was on John Martyn's first album, unlike anything he ever did later. I had a girlfriend who used to love this song, I'd forgotten all about it...

I hear distant screams and smell burning tin. There is blood and dirt in my fingernails. I don't know how long I've been here, or where 'here' is. There is a pounding.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:30am

Its a state of mind and a singular consciousness only achieved after smashing 90 pumpkins while listening to an amplifier blasting 60's cycle hum.
