The facts of life weren't delivered by Bobby on Watchtower...my opinion Great Gaylord..

Ike & the Head of a Dead Ram:

I guess it's the backup transmitter, because 91.1 FM is crackly unless I put the dipole antenna on my foot or stick it down my shirt or something. And even then it still sounds a little wrinkled.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:09pm

@Debbie D.: I can't wait!

@Ike: You have problems with 91.1FM in Sunset Park? Solid and clean here in Bay Ridge.

Yay YLT!
Avatar 5:22pm
Ike & Ram:

@Jake, yeah, a minor but annoying audio disturbance, like a little over-modulation. (Oddly enough it sounds fine on the crappiest radio, the one in the kitchen, but I don't want to go to there.) Stream sounds much better.

@Ike & Ram - BTW, kudos for a fine Dalek avatar :)

Thanks, I thought I'd overexpose the devious angry little blobs in metallic shells even more than the show already is. ;) I love that the one on the right can't keep it up.

That Alvarius B. album is unbelievably good!

Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:37pm

fyi, without getting overly technical, the 91.1fm signal is beset by known technical issues at the moment. If the stream is an option you'll enjoy better sound quality that way.

90.1 is sounding great!!

This evening's show is one of the reasons I said ok to switching today's work schedule.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:41pm
Nate K:

Great cover of "This Diamond Ring," lovely stuff.
Avatar 5:42pm
Ike:

@efd, yeah, I went to the stream even though I kinda wanted to see if 91.1 would start repeating the same 18 sec. over and over again at some point. It's done that several times this weekend while the stream proceeds normally. So far all of the loops have been excruciating, but I'm sure eventually it'll hit on a really mesmerizing one. @Jake, you'll tell us if it does, right?
Avatar 5:43pm
Monica:

lovely.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:43pm
Gaylord Fields:

By the by, this is being done in small, cramped Studio A, and not in our usual session studio.
Avatar 5:44pm
Cactus Cop:

Yeah, I've heard about 91.1's glitches. Apparently all weekend.
Avatar 5:44pm
Cactus Cop:

Yikes, that's quite a few people in a small studio.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:52pm

I don't always get the 91.1 here in Queens, but it's very clear right now. Probably a technical issue to be fixed soon.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:55pm

Thanks, Glenn. I'll sleep better tonight.

love that mike nesmith. why does it sound like it was recorded in a large metal storm drain, though?

I never understood the concept of a guilty pleasure, unless it be something like torturing puppies. Why feel guilty about liking anything unless it hurts somebody?

Transmitter's looping again. Same 5 seconds or so over and over again.
Avatar 7:03pm
Ike:

@?, transmitter problem, not a CD. Only happening at 91.1, not on the web. @Jake, you fail! It's happening again as "?" just indicated, and you didn't tell us! You're a terrible security guard!
Avatar 7:03pm
Gordon FM:

Payola generally entails the act's enterprise paying the radio station for exposure, not the other way around.

I was napping.

Listener Robert:

Yay!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:05pm

HI - just talked to Ken, he is not able to remotely fix the transmitter, so prepare for instrumental surf music on 91.1 until further notice. 90.1, 91.9 and streams are all fine.
  7:05pm
Greg from ZONE 5:

Figured it was a transmitter thing since it goes for like 20 mins.

Anyhoo, thanks Gaylord
