@CoohJohn: So is this like some “Three Days of the Condor” thing where because me and Faye decoded your handle we need to be hunted down by government spooks?
  7:39pm
Cooh John:

@JakeGould: Not quite so dramatic. It gets you into the secret music appreciation society.
  7:49pm
JakeGould:

@CoohJohn: Great! Other than hanging out with Faye Dunaway, “Three Days of the Condor” doesn’t seem like a fun way to spend 3 days.

  9:02pm
P-90:

@Ken: I'm a very liberal, open minded guy, but maybe pizza should just be pizza and tacos should just be tacos. A pizza/taco mashup just seems dangerously close to a true abomination, that might invite the wrath of the Gods, in the form of Montezuma's Revenge for instance...

  9:17pm

@Carmichael: Would spirulina help on a 50 piece McNugget? I mean, $9.99 for the McNuggets and like $10 for two bottles of spirulina smootnies sounds like a way to balance the world.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:17pm

Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:26pm

It's only worth it if the 50 nuggets will sing and dance for you first, @Jake. Otherwise, no, resist, resist, resist! Although I admit I gave in to my urges and got some Malaysian yam cookies a few minutes ago, but somehow I expect those are slightly less toxic.

@Ike: “It's only worth it if the 50 nuggets will sing and dance for you first, @Jake.” What if I ate them for charity? Like some kid who had cancer and I could raise money by eating food for the poor kid?
  9:33pm
Ahmad:

There's a divey-type place in Arlington, VA that sells tater tots slathered in mozzarella. They call them...wait for it...totchos. They're as horribly awesome as they sound. And dangerously inexpensive.
  9:33pm

@PSS: It’s not on the Intrernet… Totchos are a real thing in the real world and The Stranger is in your area PSS so you can enjoy these things! Thanks Ahmad for tipping me onto this. Screw McNuggets. I want this stuff!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:39pm
Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

@P-90: Only this year (say) I have tried going w/ real thick (for electric guitar) 0.13 for a high E (I think it is) - because they stay in tune & have bigger tone. I had to get another spring under the vibrato bridge to handle them. I don't necessarily make sense in any way: I like Pete Townshend & Hendrix & Punk - but I don't use a pick ; I sort of don't add up... It's whatever brand the local had in that gauge...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:42pm
pacific standard simon:

Funny thing -- you can't get The Stranger on the Island. I guess it's not worth it to them to bring copies over on the ferry. But the website is fine.

Do I have to say for the 300th time that this "deaths in threes" thing makes the least sense of any death-related meme in the history of the universe? More like in 30s or 300s if you count all the people who were ever famous at one point, but whom you've forgotten, or your neighbor has forgotten, or Bob the carpet salesman down the street has forgotten. The famous and formerly famous are legion.

  9:48pm
P-90:

@RRN63: 13s! Wow! and you fingerpick mainly? I made a commitment years ago to go "up" to 11s, for bigger tone production and more control, as you say. 13s are just huge, I cant imagine bending them...
