Man, I'd love to have that Alice box set to play with.

There's not enough R&B in Life, period.
Avatar 12:36am

there probably isn't enough R&B in my life.

I mean there's some but is it.... enough??
Avatar 12:38am

I just singled you out because there's probably more R&B in your life than there is in mine.

DUTRONC!!!!

there is never enough Dutronc in my life, and there is already plenty

I don't have enough R&B in my life, though I probably have more than people think I probably do.

Is that Ruckus Roboticus record a sequel to "Phantom Of The Paradise?"

I don't know, BGZ! But as long as Lady Tigra is involved, I am all for it.

Whoomp! Here it is! ruckusroboticus.bandcamp.com...

JakeGould:

@Therese: Apropos to music at places one eats, was the R&B at a taco/burrito place? Because I have never been in one that doesn’t just place classic rock of the 1970s. Always get my Santana/Yes fix while eating tacos.
Avatar 1:04am
Therese:

@JakeGould- It was not a taco place. It's funny, the taco place near the station always seems to be playing Van Halen.
Avatar 1:05am
BadGuyZero:

I assume they're singing this to someone that isn't a scrub.
Avatar 1:09am
Therese:

Also known as a...?
Avatar 1:11am
Therese:

BUS STOP! Come on, people!!!
  1:15am
JakeGould:

@Therese: Isn’t that a misheard lyric? Just saying. Also, yeah… Van Halen is right up a taco place’s alley. One time in Greenpoint I was going into Calexico and some bro put his hand on my shoulder and said, “Dude! They’re just playing ‘Yes’ all night!” and I said, “And that’s bad because?” And I went in to enjoy my tacos and prog.
Avatar 1:18am
BadGuyZero:

Tacos & Prog sounds like it could be a sister restaurant to Death Metal Pizza in Austin, TX.
  1:21am
JakeGould:

@BadGuyZero: I don’t know about pizza places that explicitly play stoner music.
  1:24am
P-90:

That taco place in Jersey City will be lucky if they don't get served a cease and desist order for infringing on the planned "Mex Halen" chain of VH-themed taco restaurants.
  1:28am
JakeGould:

Van Hagar owns “Cabo Wabo.” Whatever “Cabo Wabo” means.
  1:29am
P-90:

And yes, "bus stop" is a Mondegreen (misheard lyric), actually he's also known as "a Buster".
  1:31am
P-90:

Or "a Bustah", depending on your regional accent.
Avatar 1:32am
BadGuyZero:

The Cramps also played The Peach Pit.
  1:33am
JakeGould:

“Bustah” sounds like something a drunk Irish guy says to you at 4:00am on Saturday at a bar before he attempts to fight you.
  1:34am
P-90:

OK, that's a legit argument for "bus stop." I suppose.
Avatar 1:35am
BadGuyZero:

The Alice Cooper "Behind The Music" was a good one. It's basically "watch Alice drink" for 55 minutes followed by "now Alice is sober."
  1:36am
JakeGould:

The official lyrics for “No Scrubs”:

A scrub is a guy that thinks he's fly
And is also known as a buster
Always talkin' about what he wants
And just sits on his broke ass
So (no)

BadGuyZero:

Urban Dictionary's definition for "bus stop" [copied-and-pasted exactly as appears on UD]...
noun and adjective : a woman who had systemmatically jumps from mam to man.
  1:36am
P-90:

@BGZ: Haha! I remember that. I still hope Santa brings me that Alice Cooper Band box set...
Avatar 1:36am

@BGZ: "...systematically jumps from M'am to man"?
Like Bruce Jenner in reverse?

Lovin' this set: band I was in covered a GbV song, but I don't actually know them (understand he's a compulsive writer) - yet felt 'connected' to song you played.
APtBS was comprised of people who made their own brand of effects pedals? Very kewl...
Avatar 2:15am
BadGuyZero:

Those pedals look like something out of a 1950s sci-fi flick.

What time is it in Sweden? Maybe we could call a record store there and ask how it's pronounced. *HA!*
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:25am
Ken From Hyde Park:

To steal a song lyric I heard once, "I feel better than James Brown."
Avatar 2:25am
Therese:

It's morning in Sweden, but probably too early for record stores?

The label's description mentions nuclear meltdown. So I wonder if it's "yew-rain"...like uranium minus the "ium."

Speaking of “Flock of Seagulls” I just learned that band was considered a part of the “New Romanticism” movement in the U.K. They don’t seem to romantic?
