You think Andy's really sorry? Emoticon doesn't look sincere.

Only my BFFs are allowed to comment today. So far, so good.

I make no claims to BFF-hood, but I'm a guiltless Kingsbury Manx fan. And I vote.

Be on guard: some mysterious GFF could pop up too.

Was the video American Pie?

...although that was much more recent Manx. I've drank deeply the first four (up to Aztec Discipline) ... didn't realize they went beyond.

Hey, wait a second. I came up with "This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim" ages ago. Cease and desist!

Ike:

I thought that was going to devolve into Irwin vs. U.S. Postal Service yet again, but it didn't. Everybody celebrate!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:27pm
Irwin:

Ike, say something nice about the USPS.
Avatar 3:31pm
Rev. Turnip Druid:

The post office up the street from here is consistently air-conditioned.
...they may not actually DO anything in there, but I'll take what I can get.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:32pm
Ike:

If I'm nice to them, they're usually nice to me. And one of the smaller branches around here is open on Sundays (Orthodox neighborhood).
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:33pm
Ike:

(If I'm willing to walk east several blocks to Awesome Hat-ville a.k.a. Boro Park.)
  3:33pm
Anonymous coward:

Compared to the postal services of other countries, they are incredibly reliable at getting mail delivered.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:34pm
Irwin:

They're better than Mexico. But that's RACIST of me to say.
Avatar 3:35pm
Rev. Turnip Druid:

HOWEVER: what has become of international postage rates from the USA in the last couple of years is enough to warrant insane violence.
Avatar 3:35pm
Rev. Turnip Druid:

...which is, of course, the best form of violence.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:35pm
Ike:

Well, Mexico grows far better avocados, so now we're even.
  3:35pm
Dean:

It's also postalist.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:35pm
Irwin:

And saying the USPS is better than Mexico's isn't much of a compliment.
  3:37pm
Anonymous coward:

Not just mexico. I dont know. I read something years ago about how they are more reliable than most europe as well.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:37pm
Irwin:

Ike, if you wanna know, I hate the Mexican postal system more than the USPS. That's based on years of experience attempting to send correspondence to clients in Veracruz and Taxco. But I hate Mexican banks more than I hate the Mexican postal system.

Anonymous coward:

USPS gave Bukowski a job.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:38pm

They fired Whitman.

Somebody should develop a Yelp for postal services.
Avatar 3:42pm
steve:

the people behind the counter at my post office are consistently nice
Avatar 3:43pm
Rev. Turnip Druid:

Mum worked at USPS headquarters here in DC. 30 years ago, the building was convenient to the arcade at the underground mall nearby, so my teenage needs were satisfied.
Avatar 3:44pm
steve:

there's one vile, perpetually angry woman who works at the Jersey City post office... but all the other postal workers just seem to laugh at her, so its ok.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:45pm
Irwin:

All this LUB for the you ess pee yes. Happy, Ike?
Avatar 3:46pm
Rev. Turnip Druid:

however, the huge fire they had at HQ back then was quite a thing. Carbon stain on the outside of HQ stayed there for years.

Ike & the USPS, sitting in a tree? Nah, I don't like it THAT much. It doesn't have a very nice figure. Too much cement, not enough curves. Now, the Eisenhower Interstate Highway System, on the other hand... oh YEAH! Come on over here and sit on my lap, sexy!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:55pm
Irwin:

The Interstate is really bad for biking. I speak from experience.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:47pm
Irwin:

The shows in this series run from the mid-1980s to 2014. I'm skipping shows that primarily feature actors; very early shows, many of which sound weak; and shows which contain woefully outdated references. Fortunately, few fall into the "woeful" category. Most hold up well as works of dramatic genius.

Hello Irwin and gang. UPS just e-mailed me that my tea shipment had arrived "on the front porch behind the post". Try doing that, postal people.

Yay, indeed. Please say hi. I saw the Broadway show a few weeks ago and will be going again this Saturday (so, no Brian Dewan show for me). It's just a perfect piece of theater. So much of the LV show was transported to NYC, which hasn't been the case of their "out-of-town" shows for years.
  5:30pm

Yeah, well, if I could only get City Hall out here to recalibrate the rainbow and pick up after the unicorns.
