Dmitri Shostakovich  Symphony #2, dedicated to the October Revolution (1927) (Listen: Pop-up)   Favoriting October Revolution  BBC Magazine  1996  CD  1996 performance by BBC Orchestra & Choris cond. by Mark Elder. Includes the humungous Prokofiev "Cantata for the 29th Anniversary of the October Revolution," which didn't please the Kultural Kommittee. Shostakovich was only twenty years old. This CD is one the best I heard this year.

In this movie, Ann-Margret's dad was played (hilariously) by Paul Lynde, in the same snide queen character that made him so funny (& dirty) on Hollywood Squares.
