Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:23am

This is probably too broad for a request, but what's the best LIVE goth recording you can think of (and possibly play)?
Avatar 🦇 3:24am
Julie:

  3:24am

good evening, Miss Julie. the climate down here is generally not conducive to the Goth, so just as well it's been a ghastly bleak day. and i'm subtitling Vinterberg's THE HUNT tonight... those Danes are a gloomy lot

cheri:

Julie you could call me lame but i'm really not into goth music, so forgive me.

Avatar 🦇 4:10am
Julie:

I can do Gary in the next set probably, won't fit in this one
Avatar 4:10am
BadGuyZero:

I did some sleuthing on the bands from the "Undercurrent" comp. Kosova Republike was from Sharon, VT. National Razor was from Bethlehem, PA. Salamandra Glass was a side project of one of the members of Natinoal Razor. Livingston Voodoo was the pseudonym of a songwriter/producer named R. Mann.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:16am
Stanley:

Wow, a cover of In Every Dreamhome!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:18am

Avatar 4:28am
BadGuyZero:

I didn't want to assume.
Avatar 🦇 4:31am
Julie:

I almost brought some very early Cranes but decided against it
Avatar 4:33am
ausmanx:

hey, this is a Rowland Howard track as far as i'm concerned, not Lydia...
Avatar 🦇 4:35am
Julie:

On the CD It's credited to her
Avatar 4:38am
ausmanx:

well, on the vinyl single it's certainly not, and in the Autoluminescent film she waxes lyrical about Rowland doing the song... it should at least be a dual credit. surprised Rowland's people didn't do something about that!
Avatar 4:47am
BadGuyZero:

Thank you, Julie!
Avatar 🦇 4:47am

Cranes are always welcome

Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:04am
Wynford the Eagle:

Roland S Howard - Birthday Party - great show julie - xx
Avatar 5:06am
ausmanx:

Rowland was the creative genius of the Birthday Party, not the exceptionally well marketed Nick Cave. if you haven't seen Autoluminescent, Julie, try and track it down... wonderful film. and Rowland's two great solo albums, Pop Crimes and Teenage Snuff Film, are essential!

Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:22am

Morning Julie!
"Inkies", sounds delightfully British!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:24am
Matt from Springfield:

Don't know if you're still "current" on The Simpsons, but last Sunday's episode, involving math competitions, actually played Kate Bush's "pi" from Aerial! I was super impressed! :D
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:25am

Julie:

surprised there aren't any comments on Buffy..I really wanted a gif of her climbing out but had no luck
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:29am
Matt from Springfield:

That would be cool - if you have video of that scene you can go to "GIFmaker.com" (or something like) and make your own animated GIF from it. BGZ and amEdeo can refer you to that..
Avatar 🦇 5:30am
Julie:

yeah I only thought of it about an hour before I came on...I've made gifs before just no time. This is a cover of some band's song but not sure whom
Avatar 🦇 5:32am
Julie:

My goth knowledge is painfully limited despite those who say I play goth music all the time
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:33am
Matt from Springfield:

You're a Goth "collector" at least, you do have at least 600 of the finite but extremely large number of the "Goth comps"!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:34am
Wynford Eagle:

wasted youth
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:34am

Reproduction! The super early HL I love!
This was before Heaven 17 split off from them.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:36am
Wynford Eagle:

Aw, thanks Julie!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:36am
Matt from Springfield:

@Julie: Do you mean " "Headhunter" is a 1988 song by the Belgian EBM band Front 242. The song was a major hit in the electronic and industrial music scenes" it sounds like that's the original.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:37am
