Never really listened to That Petrol Emotion before; interesting (or perhaps not) that they went with a Feargal-esque vocal

Saw Cassandra Wilson do her Billie H. tribute at the Apollo last month--her performance of "Strange Fruit" was especially spectacular. That CD is a keeper.

So, a very good day being had here.

I'm mostly interested in hearing new music and not the music of my youth, but The Byrds hold- up music and lyrics both.

Yes. Though the lyrics were Bob Dylan's (in this case).

I enjoy the phrase "the top of the hour" as it doesn't discriminate against those unfortunate souls in other time zones.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:56pm
Irwin:

The Codger was diagnosed with a tumor, but it went away. Even cancer doesn't want to be around him.
  3:56pm
Listener Robert:

I'm just thinking about how it would be to put a single program on the same frequency on multiple, spaced (but w overlapping signals) stations on the same frequency. Probably worse than the buzziest multipath you ever heard on FM. But maybe I'm wrong.
Avatar 3:56pm
Roberto:

Voicedude FTW!
  3:58pm
Listener Robert:

This is the best kind of mashup: where not only the music but the lyrics mesh well.
  4:02pm
Listener Robert:

Now I just thought of a way Henderson's idea could've worked. It'd require the phasing & power of all those AM stations to be perfect, so that in effect it'd be like a single continent-wide radiator. That's the only way to avoid null spots.
