Hiya, Nate. Good morning!

Good burning Nate and Sem

Salut, fred.

@Sem: The burning giraffe is certainly an appropriate avatar for this show

Nate K:

Hi guys.
  6:24am
mark:

I love the Stooges, but I've never heard this track. Iggy had asthma, and he said the first time he got high, it was on these pills they gave him for his asthma, which had a little bit of phenobarbitol in them. He was 8 years old, walking along, appreciating the beauty of the snowdrifts in Michigan.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:28am
Nate K:

Hi Mark, the track was a live staple in the early days, and that version appeared as a bonus on the Rhino Handmade deluxe reissue of the S/T album a few years back.

Sean B.:

Morning Nate & all. Wow...this Willie Hightower track is stunning.

Sem Chumbo:

@fred: every so often, there is a serendipitous correlation with the theme of a show. Last week, Kurt's show animation was Dali throwing paint-filled eggs at a canvas, for instance. That led to a board conversation about him. I looked prescient on that day, I think:-D
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:47am
fred:

@Sem: With all the tributes for ESP going on, it's the right time to look prescient
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:53am
fred:

@Nate: Nice segue right there (Cromagnon to People)
  6:54am
mark:

Good find on the Stooges track, Nate--unfortunately my version of the first album isn't the Rhino one and doesn't include that track.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:56am
Nate K:

@Fred, thanks. @Mark, that Rhino Handmade version was super limited edition if I'm not mistaken.
  6:59am
mark:

I'm loving the eclecticity™ of your show today, Nate!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:04am
Nate K:

@Mark, thanks man. I try to mix it up.

I'm loving its elasticity™ :-D

I had to look up how to make the trademark symbol!

I keep hearing echoes of Hendrix tonality, phrasing and sound shaping all through this set, Nate.
RRN63: you, too?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:38am
fred:

@Sem: Maybe out favorite firebomb-throwing rabbit is asleep. Perks of no longer working unusual days and hours, you know
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:39am

"out" should be "our"

@Nate: Samantha! Fine choice to fill-in for you show

Home Blitz do a lot of different things. A quick googling led to a facebook page with 666 likes. I'm sold, and intrigued

@RevRab: you may depend upon the 'cocks to know precisely where you're coming from. Speaking of serendipity, @fred.

glenn was going for the beach boys thing?

Yes I think it's safe to say that Nate "burned it down" this morning. Jake Holmes's original composition "Dazed and Confused" should be played on a regular basis amidst all the endless Led Zep worship foisted upon us.

Glenn pretty much *was* a BB (for a time).
