You wouldn't have any life-affirming goat-roasting, toe-tasering black metal right now, would you Chris M?

SPIRITBEANS:

Helloooo!
Does anyone listening know of a Bangladeshi Metal band in the NYC area? Thanks!

I'll tell you how bad allergies are.

I had minor outpatient surgery last Friday, had to switch from local to general anesthesia mid-procedure because of untreated sleep apnea, and ended up on oxygen for six hours, and my throat was scraped up because of the tube they had to use. But all I could think of was my damn runny nose all weekend.

I am built yooper-tough, so I am good now.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:16am

i want to make a smiley face, but i cannot bring myself to make an emoticon.

Gary at Bodega Pop may also be a good resource re:Bangladeshi metal. He casts quite a wide net as well.

Cheri Pi:

this is my jam.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:22am
Ken From Hyde Park:

@Cecile - That sounds pretty bad. I've resorted to wads of tissues in the nose to drain the junk away. Unfortunately, global warming models predict worsening of allergies.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:24am
Polyus:

I had never been allergic to anything until the last 5 years or so.
Avatar 10:24am
Cecile:

coel, it's usually a breeze for me, but this new sleep apnea thing is a pain. Gotta get in for that sleep study.

I know, Ken. For me it's one long post nasal drip into my lungs. Fortunately Claritin is hooking a girl up pretty good.
Avatar 10:24am

Drexy!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:26am

SH! i'm trying to watch tv! but i can't figure out whether it's Vicky Lawrence or David Bowie. (though i think it's really neither.)
Avatar 10:27am
Cheri Pi:

damn you've really been through the ringer Cecile, I think this calls for some slippery elm or marshmallow root tea to restore your natural slime coat.
Avatar 10:30am
Cheri Pi:

Ya, I take Generatin daily, even in Winter.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:30am
coelacanth:

Yes- what Cheri Pi said.

  11:13am
P-90:

@Greg from Bloomfield: this is the perfect day for a pint of scotch
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:16am
coelacanth:

i like the direction the police took on this one.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:19am
Greg from Bloomfield:

Why can't this be old-timey Mad Men times where no one would care if I drank scotch at my desk?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:21am
Polyus:

ALL CAPS
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:22am
coelacanth:

it depends who owns the desk.
Avatar 11:23am
d¢ pät:

I often wonder that @Greg. Like Lou on Mary Tyler Moore. "I'm having an Irish coffee, Mar." "Mr. Grant, there's no coffee or cream in that--it's just straight scotch."
Avatar 11:26am

I always forget, Cookie Monster = death metal?

  11:37am
P-90:

Fascinating, the power of suggestion. Like what unexpectedly reading the phrase "Irish coffee" can do...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:39am
Greg from Bloomfield:

This is stressing me out—it has been 23 hours since I had an Irish coffee...

Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:55am
Ken From Hyde Park:

Anyone following the Boston Marathon today? Ethiopians & Kenyans looking good, but a couple of Americans not far off the pace.
  11:57am
P-90:

I think maybe if one is actually ancient enough to remember the original "life" of a song like that as a hit, one doesn't think of the ketchup commercial first. Maybe second.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:57am
Greg from Bloomfield:

Swill! First thing I think of every time I hear that song.
Avatar 11:57am
d¢ pät:

I wonder if Ethiopians and Kenyans would make good cyclists. Or maybe it's completely different than running.
  11:59am
P-90:

"Hey Baby, do you like it in some brine?"
