	2:15pm Billy Jam: hey all - welcome to the second/final 2015 WFMU Marathon installment of "Put The Needle On The Record" in which we are down to the final 2 and a half days of the ultimately important fundraiser that determines whether we can afford to stay on the air or not. Hopefully with your support we can. Speaking of which this show is dedicated to WFMU LISTENER FRED IN FRANCE for his extremely generous donation last week during this show. Thank-you Fred for giving so much. I am and WFMU is indebted to you! Also apologies if last week - when my live mic feed being fed into the sound mix via Skype from 3000 miles away in Ireland - I sounded slightly off in anyway. Although it sounded okay in the final mix in my headphones there was dropout and time-delays which (at times) made it difficult for me to converse with last week's co-host Chris T. He also messed up a bit in that he failed to announce/thank all of the generous listeners who donated their financial support last week. Those that he did not include were station manager Ken Freedman, Dan in PA, and Spidermank in the UK - so let me say a loud sincere THANK YOU now to all of you guys. This week my co-host is my fellow WFMU DJ and old buddy Bronwyn C who used to be on right after me a few years ago (in slot now filled by SUW - when I did slot currently occupied by Kurt). Earlier via social media WFMU DJ Keili's mom said that she would donate money if I were to sing Donna Osmond's 1972 hit "Puppy Love" - so maybe I can convince Bronwyn to back me up on vocals if so….in fact I will sing any damn song (or rather offer my "interpretation" of it) for a pledge of $100 or more…..The images on the playlist today are all culled from the past year of Put The Needle On The Record shows' corresponding playlist pages - many of which were live remote broadcasts from different places including OMCA during the Vinyl exhibit at that Bay Area musuem, Local Project in Long Island City NY, Spidermank's in Manchester UK, Dawgisht's studio in Alameda CA, Rebecca Steven's Corner Market in North Oakland CA, Special Tech DJ in San Bruno CA, and the Meadowlark in Denver, CO. As I have mentioned in the past on the air - my ultimate goal is to (with the help of WFMU studio engineers like my man Mike Noble) do this show from a different location every damn week - IE make it a traveling show whereby I broadcast from some new city/town/state/country etc. and - whenever possible - tap into their local hip-hop scene. As you know none of us DJs here on WFMU get paid a penny for what we do. It is all out of love of music and/or radio. So when say WFMU DJ Mr Fine Wine plays some super rare 45 single that you will never hear anywhere else - it is because he spent years crate digging and seeking out these rare records that he bought out of his own pocket. That level of commitment of WFMU programmers combined with the support of listeners (often the two overlap) is how this magical unique place that is F M U operates. THANK YOU for listening!
