OK, just back from a trade fair. They were not giving away live ducks.
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 6:01pm listener james from westwood:

That duck will be me at some point during Jesse's program, no fault of our esteemed Mister K. Long day, long night planned.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:04pm Doug Schulkind:

Afternoon, Carmichael!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:05pm Doug Schulkind:

This Boo Boo tune was used in a radio commercial for an energy drink a few years back.

I've heard of Sleepy Hollow, but not Sleepy Holly.
Avatar 6:11pm ndbob:

Heya Holly, Carmichael. Marcury

@Doug: I've only heard legends about both.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:22pm Doug Schulkind:

Dumb egg, scrambled face, Flash Strap!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:23pm Doug Schulkind:

Did Dr. Horse just say "with a processed head"?!
Avatar 6:25pm ndbob:

Think so Doug
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:25pm Doug Schulkind:

I just realized I forgot to announce the selections in Set #1. Guess I'm a little "unfocused."
  6:28pm marcury:

Congrats on Work!
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 6:28pm listener james from westwood:

Not as bad as my friend's dad, whose effort to counter an all-night cram session for the LSAT with speed resulted in his just heavily blacking out the first row of circles on a Scan-Tron sheet and leaving the rest untouched. Color him *too* focused.
Avatar 6:29pm glenn:

it's hard to chime in with two cats on my laptop.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:29pm Doug Schulkind:

Thanks, marcury. Joining the unskilled labor force was a low bar I finally chose to vault.
  6:30pm marcury:

I'm right there with you!
Avatar 6:31pm Flash Strap:

oof, me too
Avatar 6:32pm Holly in NC:

Heck, I'm leading the parade. Or relay team, or whatever.

Also, talk about sleepy:

Unbelievable no one seriously hurt!
  6:32pm Dean:

When I took the LSAT I had to go wee-wee very badly as the test was wrapping up. Completely distracted by physiological needs, I guessed the last five questions. When the results arrived, I checked those questions. IIRC, I got four of them right.
Avatar 6:33pm ndbob:

@jams for sure - cramming like that is always a bad idea
Avatar 6:33pm ndbob:

I taught an LSAT review course once

Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:35pm Doug Schulkind:

I like the warble in Mr. Taylor's voice.
  6:35pm Dean:

I know an undergraduate who taught an LSAT course as an undergraduate! He had to take the test to qualify. Perfect score. He went on to study neuro-psychology. Now he designs games and other programs for a virtual worlds company.
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 6:35pm listener james from westwood:

Never took the LSAT; did take the GRE, though. Like a real-life nightmare, I realized 10 min before go-time I was in the wrong classroom. My one and only 4-minute mile followed as I got my ass to the right room doubleplusquick.
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 6:37pm listener james from westwood:

Holy Christmas, a perfect LSAT? You should get a refund and a muffin basket for that.
Perfect LSAT, neuropsych, virtual worlds ... is your friend Buckaroo Banzai?
Avatar 6:37pm glenn:

i've always had at least one cat. what can i say? i love cats.
Avatar 6:37pm ndbob:

wow Doug - I had taken it, done well, and gone to law school
Avatar 6:39pm Carmichael:

Being 5 years away from retirement, I will never take another test again. Except maybe for my DMV test when I'm 85 and still trying to drive.
Avatar 6:40pm Holly in NC:

I couldn't love a man who doesn't love cats.

The most interesting animal story of the day
Avatar 6:47pm northguineahills:

The first time I took the GRE, I was half way through, when I realized they gave me the wrong tests. So, I took it again, and did well. At least that was on a computer, The first time I took the SAT as a sophomore, I thought I finished w/ about 40 minutes to spare, and I realized I put the answers on the wrong answer sheets, and I spent the rest of the time vigorously trying to transcribe my answers to the right answer sheet while also erasing furiously. I had to take that one again as well.
Avatar 6:47pm glenn:

as a rat, i approve that message.
Avatar 6:48pm ndbob:

wow NGH
Avatar 6:48pm Holly in NC:

I love Webb Pierce, I wonder if he loved cats?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:48pm Doug Schulkind:

En Gee Aiche!
Avatar 6:50pm Holly in NC:

@ndbob - gerbils?
@ngh - good grief!
Avatar 6:50pm glenn:

it didn't take long for the commenters on that story to go from rats to slamming each other over climate change.
Avatar 6:51pm ndbob:

Yep Holly - that research is pretty preliminary tho
Avatar 6:52pm ndbob:

great one there Doug!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:53pm Doug Schulkind:

You can't Bo wrong with Eddie, ndbob.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:57pm Doug Schulkind:

Thanks (yawn) everybody!
Avatar 6:57pm northguineahills:

Technically, I'm a good test taker, I just sometimes can't get the mechanics of putting the answers in the rights places.

Thanks Doug!
Avatar 6:57pm glenn:

now see, if the duck was breaking flaming boards with his bill, i'd be impressed
Avatar 6:57pm ndbob:

excellent show Doug!
