There's also the original "Happy the Man," the tune by Genesis that inspired the band name. I suspect it, in turn, had been inspired by Alexander Pope's "Ode on Solitude."

Heh, was wondering if this were tuning related. I heard a field recording of a piano being tunes on FMU, complete with street noise from outside the dwelling where it was occurring, and it was mesmeric.
