Last Saturday the spouse and I went to a local pub to hear Robbie Dunbar (Earth Quake, Berserkly co-owner) perform. Al Chan (Rubinoos) was in the band. Dunbar often plays these small joints with Greg Kihn's drummer, Larry Lynch, too.

OMG I love seeing this fat lil squirrel dance to my records

@sugarwolf, they are shameless! I've had them beg for my food many times.

I do. I especially enjoy the dreams where I'm playing music, though sometimes it can be frustrating. Once I was supposed to be jamming with Lindsey Buckingham and I could't get my gear to work right. He was kinda pissed.

The squirrels that were stealing my jalapenos from my fire escape and then discarding them b/c after biting them, they realized they weren't tasty treats (and then burying others in my other potted plants) were rather fat and healthy. I've always liked this song - never understood why it gets trashed so much..... this sounds like an alternate take or rerecording
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:33pm
listener james from westwood:

There is likely a term of art for the way the Simpsons writers do that sort of gag re: Disco Stu embodying the sight gag, where what seems like a throwaway phrase becomes something in the show, but I don't know what it is. Another example of this sort of humor: When Lisa in "Lisa the Vegetarian" says, "They can't seriously expect us to believe this tripe?!" and Skinner immediately hands out tripe to the kids. Not sure if I'm explaining this clearly.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:33pm

I thought he first appeared in the episode where George Bush moves in across the street. I love the character because it reeked of a one off joke, but yet he is still around. But you are right, he is named immediately, so not exactly the same as the characters you mentioned, Amanda.
