just meant it's nice to have someone else dictate the jams. enforcer! whenever I hear the shakers or the fish percussion thingy I know it's gonna be a great Dark Star... i've been turned onto new (old) jams by a neighbor who drives home late at night and parks in front of my place blaring the dead for a long time before exiting vehicle. then i go inside to archive.org and try to figure out what i heard!
Avatar 3:25am
Jeff Conklin:

Hip neighbor! Why not go ask him what he's jammin?
Avatar 3:27am
Larst:

I do, and he's vague and wasted, so hence the figuring out! uh, it's a Dave's Picks... ummmm yeah I gotta go...

Played one of the more rocking tracks off Alpha Lyrae on my show tonight...but I think I prefer the sleepy bliss of side one...so nice
Avatar 4:45am

Nice, Adam. You gotta do some archiving, man!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:50am
Sem Chumbo:

Good morning, Jeff. Looks like an archive trip for me today sometime, for some dark Star and Sun Ra. This CF & tSMB is getting some play around here, I notice. And a good thing it is:-)
Avatar 4:52am

a beautiful arc to that set (even tho' i missed the crucial opener)
  5:05am
the Canterbury wood-elf:

woah, just realised that Bruce Lacey is the "Mr. Lacey" that Fairport Convention wrote a song about (eccentric inventer/character: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bruce_Lacey)

Whoah, good pickup, Canterbury!
Avatar 5:11am

Ah, this Hayden Pedigo is released by my local pal Sam Debacle...sounds great
  5:11am
the Canterbury wood-elf:

"inventor", that should be. Some of his robots were involved in the weird instrumental break of the FC track that bears his name.

Tuluum Shimmering doing "Dark Star"...ha ha. Sounds good. Gotta get to bed...thanks Jeff for all the great sounds!

Ever hear a riff and wish it would go on forever? Thankfully this piece is nearly 50 minutes though I'll have to cut it short :(
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:45am
Sem Chumbo:

Mr. Webster has a kind of mad genius for this, I think. Just losing the night here, and sunrise a ways off. Overlooking the just-now-high tide estuary, this is an accidental soundtrack never to be repeated. Like that, a lot.
  5:46am
the Canterbury wood-elf:

Has anyone heard that Plunderphonics "Grayfolded" mega-mix of Dark Stars from '67-'90-something that came out in the early 90s?
Avatar 5:47am
Jeff Conklin:

Grayfolded is good. It was just reissued as a 400-LP set. Definitely worth checking out.
Avatar 5:58am
