glenn:

a joke.
Three First Nations women had babies.

The first sat on a deer hide rug and gave birth to a five-pound boy.
The second sat on a moose hide rug and gave birth to a six-pound girl.
The third sat on a rug made of hippopotamus hide and had an eleven-pound boy.

Such an outcome was inevitable, as we all know that the son of the squaw on the hippopotamus equals the sons of the squaws on the other two hides.

Love some Alan Jenkins
Avatar 4:03pm
Cecile:

Is this song-poem stuff?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:05pm
Scott Williams:

Cecile, nope. from the wiki: "Their music was odd, often consisting of absurd and surreal lyrics delivered in Alan's deadpan voice accompanied by bouncy pop/progressive rock music. Favoured lyrical concerns included animal rights, conformity, and science fiction."
Avatar 4:06pm
Cecile:

oh, ok. It just had that randar kind of quality to it...

I do too.
But sometimes the tricky stuff gets to me.
Avatar 4:14pm
Grok-o-matic:

Alan Jenkins has lot's of bands. Also, a UK label called Cordelia. Put out an R. Stevie Moore record. All the stuff is pretty surfy, fun stuff. The Chrysanthemums are one of his best, I think.
Avatar 4:15pm
glenn:

what's mike oldfield up to, anyway?
Avatar 4:15pm
Grok-o-matic:

Also, he put out a killer comp. LP of obscure Japanese bands from the 80s. Great stuff.
Avatar 4:22pm
Cecile:

he sounds like a cool guy.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:26pm

I'll have to dig up Tubular Bells again. There were a couple parts of that I really enjoyed.

would it be pretentious to add a time signature column to the play list?
