@BEAVO - that is a legitimate possibility. I tend to agree that this is not really the classic 'jimi sound' but the jacket does mention that this is pre-Expirence while he was still developing his own style.

- their code of course was they would not play or record unless tripping - which I mention every time, but after all - that left even the Dead incredulous...

...unless it's a case of where somebody had a track or two w/ Jimi as a sideman & filled the album out after Jimi got famous (w/out him) - not even the same sessions (whudda I know ??)
- altho' the books tell of that one weird session when Jimi got back to NY *after* London & in fact recorded w/ Curtis Knight anyhow - a notably odd thing to do !...
