@Artie: yes, it was a great everything that night. I joked to a friend that I completely sensed the obsolescence of the white western man watching that concert. But in a non-joke way I like the way good music and politics are put together on Kuti's and Kuti's sons music.
Hmmm ... might have to go until Tony Coulter's show to properly cover all those birthdays. I've got a shitload of chili in the fridge and don't need to sleep....

I second that first and second from Doug's last Friday morn.

Hi Brian - no storms but it definately is the first day of Autumn. Its quite nice, leaves turning colour, blowing in the wind, a nip in the year and the ol' vest on.
Autumn arrived for me last night when I had to dig out my sleeping socks for the first time.
@Jeff, I ate pizza in college from a box I'd stashed under my bed the previous night. No judging from this quarter.
Well now I just feel bad. Trade lunches, @aearrie?

Squash is on my near horizon. I'm tasting memories from last year. Squash and sage go well together any way you slice'm, pretty much. I'd probably go for squash and sage gelato..
Frode is going to go so far that he'll take us all just about a minute past the top of the hour...

A Japanese gelato stand opened up not far from me. Seaweed bits in the cones. Bean curd this. Rice and something that. Oh and a dark chocolate ginger. Yeah. I'd say it's about cold enough for a cone.
