I may hold the world's record for person owning the most XL90s who hasn't listened to a single one in like 15 years.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:09am Gary:

"Mitchell Brothers" has a very different meaning to those of us who were living in San Francisco in the 80s ... ;-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:10am Doug Schulkind:

It's so FANTASTIC of you all to listen in whilst waiting on line for the Apple store to open.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:24am Doug Schulkind:

OR THE COW!!!!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:27am Doug Schulkind:

Something tells me that Mrs. Fluker wouldn't have a big problem with that football player who hit his 4-year-old with a switch.
Avatar 11:28am Holly in NC:

I'd forgotten how much I adore this song, just pulled entire lp from my virtual record shelf for later listening :-)
Avatar 11:28am Carmichael:

Good morning Doug and drumsters. Could someone please translate these lyrics into a common language?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:29am Doug Schulkind:

Good morning, Carmichael! Hope you're wearing your bullet-proof headphones.
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 11:31am Brian in UK:

Carmichael or may I call you John. Your missus sounds mighty fine.
Avatar 11:33am Carmichael:

You can call me anything. Just don't call me late for supper.
Avatar 11:35am annie:

hi carm!!
Avatar 11:35am Carmichael:

Annie, haven't heard from you in about forever! Are you still in NC?
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 11:35am listener james from westwood:

Sinner in the house w/ this bed!

Deacon Doug on the tambourine and background shouts.
Avatar 11:36am Jesse K:

Avatar 11:37am annie:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:38am Doug Schulkind:

Sensational Happy Sinner!
Avatar 11:40am Holly in NC:

New favorite song title. Lyrics?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:42am Uncle Michael:

I have the table set. I hope you can all drop by for treats. wfmu.org...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:43am Doug Schulkind:

Do the Time Warp, Jesse!

Beats me, Holly. Something about running into some fake apes on a Sunday stroll maybe?
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 11:44am Brian in UK:

Perfect ironing music and no irony in that comment.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:47am Doug Schulkind:

I've always wanted to open a publishing house and call it Permanent Press.
Avatar 11:47am annie:

MOST enjoyable to partake of the festivities today.. sitting here paying attention to long-forgotten projects, eating liverwurst on rice chips and soon going to crack a beer. taking copious notes and getting small things crossed off lists!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:49am Doug Schulkind:

I've always wanted to start a band and call it Spatula. (But then I found out a few years ago that band with that name already exists. I bet they don't cover "Shotgun Boogie" like my Spatula would.)

Always glad when you're tuned in, Annie!
Avatar 11:49am Holly in NC:

Perfect peeling shrimp, scrubbing potoatoes, rinsing rice, soaking greens music!

@annie - now I want liverwurst. Badly.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:50am Uncle Michael:

This song is filthy.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:50am Doug Schulkind:

Mmmmm, shrimp.
Avatar 11:51am annie:

it's my favorite bad food
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:51am Jeff Golick:

Shout-out to @David H, above -- hey, David!

My current album cover fave (a dirty dog of a different sort): www.discogs.com...

And do I have this right, that there was talk of a dying dog story here and no one here invoked Casey Kasem?
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 11:51am Brian in UK:

Had some smoked crevette the other week. Delicious.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:52am Doug Schulkind:

GIVE THE DRUMMER RADIO PROGRAMMING ALERT...
Far from filthy, Hinky Dinky Time is so clean you could eat right off its floor. Tune in at the top of the hour and the music will floor you. (Which is especially convenient if you're hungry.) Uncle Michael's playlist page is here: wfmu.org...
Avatar 11:52am annie:

shrimp on tap for dinner tonight....sauteed in butter and garlic
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:53am Doug Schulkind:

@Jeff Golick
You know David H? Yes. Yes of course you do.
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 11:53am Brian in UK:

@jeff what instrument is that? Not a pink oboe for sure!!
Avatar 11:53am Holly in NC:

@Annie - what brand of liverwurst are you eating? I prefer Schaller & Weber for the "bad" kind....but Wellshire at Whole Foods is okay and not unreasonable, and often on sale.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:54am Uncle Michael:

I'm heading to the shore to hunt avian game for this weekends charcuterie project. I need to take a tern for the wurst.
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 11:54am Brian in UK:

annie did you say beer. You are a bad influence on this board.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:54am Jeff Golick:

@Doug: our sons are now playing for the same flag football squad -- Go Chargers!

@Brian: I haven't been able to keep my eyes on that image long enough to really make out what's...there.
Avatar 11:55am annie:

i got it from ingles deli, brand name of some kind, far better than the previous store brands. this is tasty and slightly peppery
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 11:55am Artie:

Talk about your fowl dog
Avatar 11:55am annie:

beer.... there i said it again!
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 11:56am Artie:

@Holly - Does Rose's make a liverwurst? All their other charcuterie is fantastic.
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 11:56am Brian in UK:

I'll get you a cold one too, here it comes.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:56am Doug Schulkind:

@Jeff Golick
David's older son was on my daughter's little league team. She was a pitcher and he was a catcher. In other words, a special relationship. (It was actually incredibly sweet how encouraging a teammate to her he was.)
Avatar 11:57am annie:

i actually have a recipe for liverwurst.... someday i may attempt it. but first i have to take a stab at home-made fig newtons
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:57am Uncle Michael:

Thanks for the great show, Doug. See you fine folks in the next room.
Avatar 11:57am still b/p:

You've got a lotta gull posting that kind of thing here UM.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:58am Gary:

Autotune!
Avatar 11:58am Holly in NC:

@Artie - they do - and it's good, but (shhh..I love Katie so much...) not my favorite. I don't care for the texture. That said, ROSE'S ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!! In fact, they are holding some Farmer's Daughter lemon pickled turnips for me 'til I get back to Durham on Wednesday :-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:58am Doug Schulkind:

Give the Drummer Some, where liverwurst and autotune take up equal and exalted space in the conversation.
