Guido from Cologne:

Well, my favoured Italian cafe offers a special "Lemoncello Cup"-creation, with lemon ice and the liquer itself as ingredient and some wonderful lemon-sauce topping, which is as a whole really delicious. I have some industry stuff right here, which looks good, but we will see about the taste.

Spencer:

Hey Liz! I forgot to tell you about the crawfish boil in Williamsburg yesterday :(
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:32am
Liz Berg:

Sorry to have missed out on the crawfish, Spencer! Probably for the best, though. My stomach is still a little iffy after getting food poisoning from a mango a few weeks ago.

Public service announcement: scrub your mango with soap and water before cutting into it!
Avatar 9:34am

wow. how do you know it was the mango?

they are allowing prolonged public TeVee-display @ night during world cup in order to meet the time zone incompatibilities! I'm facing sleeples summer nights. I connot get pissed every night. Or i will turn up the amps @ night and bless the neighborhood with some inspired guitar improvisations.

This Clientele is great! I'm not super familiar with them, and I always associated their sound with the Minotaur album. Good to hear a different production style/aesthetic, I love it when bands do that.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:55am

Agreed, Mariano. Normally their production is a little too slick for my taste, but I liked this one quite a bit.

Bad things from Villette Sonique: Food trucks are coming here, but they're the hipster-friendly kind. Pad Thai? Great! But at 9€ for a tiny portion? Not so great
And it looks like summer is there

BTW, Monotonix's frontman Ami Shalev has a new band, him and a drummer. Crazy weird punk blues thing
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:25am

Dunno, but isn't that the way money is made on free festivals?

That's how I know about Rheinkultur in Bonn. No real how many percentages go to the organizers or how much is a licence for opening a catering stand ...

Thats why I avoid festivals. The only festival I would like to attend every year is Sonic Protest. @fred: Yeah! it was interesting. Some times I wasnt that enthousiastic about the clockwork coordination but first time a see something like this. They told me that the Paris concert was the first of the tour they were making and that for them wasn't as good as they would like

I hear you about the clockwork side, but I tend to like that... hey I'm probably still Nisennenmondai's biggest fan over here. I liked Radian, not my fave set of Sonic Protest (that would be Selvhenter, not even close) but good nonetheless.

I prefer clubs from festival if ever possible.
I dislike large places and big stages and huges crowds anyway.

But I know that festivals are the best places for exposure and making some money (if sponsored) for lesser known artists.
