We have these redundant stream encoder machines sending the WFMU streams via distinct internet connections to redundant stream-relay machines out in the cloud... but somehow the analog signal feeding those encoders got switched to the wrong source. So the encoders were faithfully and redundantly encoding and streaming silence, which streams then then faithfully had Faye's track info laid onto them. Oops. This is actually an innovative problem for us - we hadn't had just this particular failure in the middle of the broadcast day before. Cool, huh?

We have these redundant stream encoder machines sending the WFMU streams via distinct internet connections to redundant stream-relay machines out in the cloud... but somehow the analog signal feeding those encoders got switched to the wrong source. So the encoders were faithfully and redundantly encoding and streaming silence, which streams then then faithfully had Faye's track info laid onto them. Oops. This is actually an innovative problem for us - we hadn't had just this particular failure in the middle of the broadcast day before. Cool, huh?
