	3:42pm steve: right DCE. i did spend $50 to see Devo and Tom Tom Club play in a pool in my neighborhood, and goddam that was worth every penny.
	3:42pm coelacanth: Yeah,as much as i Loved KC back in the day,& the first 7 albums even more now,i lost interest soon after discipline arrived. 'haven't paid attention much since.

	3:57pm Eyepatch Fox: I spent over $200 to get two tickets for King Crimson, which is insane, but it was my Dad's 60th birthday on Saturday, and it was perfect timing.

	3:59pm DCE: oh so I'm guessing $60 will put you in the back and you won't enjoy anything...yeah, I probably wouldn't bite either

	4:01pm Eyepatch Fox: I WAS going to get my Dad this thing that Adrian Belew and Tony Levin and Pat Mastelotto do every year, Three of a Perfect Pair, where you get to hang out in the woods with them for a week, jamming and drinking and hanging out. The accomodations start at $1,300 (which is more than I make a month) but it includes food and liquor, and I know my Dad would enjoy it. Maybe for Christmas!
	4:02pm fred: I saw Marcia Bassett for €8 two weeks ago and she delivered a mind-blowing set. And there were three others before that, most of them real good. Throw in the potential for a great discovery, I'm just not going to pricey gigs.

	4:07pm coelacanth: mine was probably Thomas Mapfumo for $20. i forget the name of the place...a sort of "world music" venue in nyc. ...'late 90s.
	4:07pm Stanley: A while ago I saw Ry Cooder was playing in Edinburgh with tickets from £100 ($160) upwards, I thought no one is going to be mad enough to pay those prices. Saw later another date was added due to the demand!!! Anyway the bands I want to see are rarely over £15 ($24). Stick it to the Man!!

	4:15pm fred: I would pay 40 to see Cynthia Loemij (she's a dancer). I might do so for Juliana Hatfield, and it's not a given. That's it. Unless I get another job
	4:16pm northguineahills: My gf paid for me to go w/ her to see Bjork, that was like $78, but it was small, intimate, when she had the stage in the middle of the room and the audience surrounded it. The most expensive show I paid for myself was probably the Swans show 4 years back, around $30+.
	4:21pm coelacanth: my budget is thankful that most of these more famous acts never come that close to where i reside. Yes northguineahills,i'd pay 30.for Swans...and i forgot- i probably paid a bit to see Fiona Apple,after her first album,because it was partly a gift.

The accomodations start at $1,300 (which is more than I make a month) but it includes food and liquor, and I know my Dad would enjoy it. Maybe for Christmas!
