@Everyone
I would really love it if you'd all kindly NOT make me jealous as hell by telling your "Lookie what I got at the WFMU Record Fair" stories. Thanks!
Jeff. I will try not to be too messy. Going to this next Sunday. There seems to be shed loads of litfests around these days. www.stokenewingtonliteraryfestival.com...
I like that in films when you can be twenty minutes in and are hoping that some time soon you will get a hook. Then blessed relief you can go from freefloating to plot seeking.
Oh yes, I have the windows open and can enjoy olfactory pleasures that the potpourri of the blossoms of spring bring....and wait, is that bitumen I detect? Crap, time to close the windows.
@Doug: Maybe this particular estate just wasn't real.

This a kind of bad-luck spot. I've been stood up here on another job info meeting before. And I've had several really excellent could-lead-to-a-job meetings here that went nowheres. Well, at least it got me to take a shower.
How long should I continue sitting here like a jackass for a 1pm meeting before it's acceptable to walk out?

Dean:
I'd hang for the rest of the hour.

@dean
Yeah, I suppose you're right. At least I haven't spent $7.95 on a frappamochagrandeccino or whatever.
This person was meeting me totally as a favor to me, so I have no high horse to alit indignantly from. Which is too bad, because can alit indignantly with the best if then.
OK, now I shall leave, humbled and broken. Good night, you've been a great crowd.
Played this record for the first time in a while yesterday: http://www.discogs.com/Marion-Brown-Porto-Novo/release/1356949 Features Bennink in 1967. Yow.
This is great nap soundtrack music. Although in my dream, this music came in a cassette that was packaged from magazine collages and I found a melted Cadbury egg in the packaging.
Well, Irwin Chusid and Michael D. "the Good Doctor" Anderson played three hours of Sun Ra. But it was on WKCR. I didn't hear of any other FMUers devoting whole time slots to Ra.
Jeff and Jeff, there is a "space voice" option on the playlist database. Just click shift-option-s while standing on your left foot and lining your undershorts with aluminum foil.
