Robert Plantian vocal repetition right there

This band's name was the first actual use of the term "heavy metal" (little known fact).

Android just ate my entire last (short) comment, not a fan of how update works w my phone. Assuming my phone is problem, is there way I can switch back to old app?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:09pm
efd:

sorry Holly, I have no idea. I'd suggest contacting Station Mgr Ken to let him know about the problems you're having.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:11pm

All archives have been off by a day in the latest version of the Android app for me, since its release.

Oh hey finally here for real on trusty laptop!

Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:16pm
efd:

UM, I'd let Ken know about that as well
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:18pm
Uncle Michael:

Good idea.

Anyone else with the Android app seeing that phenomenon?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:20pm
Alex of Chicago:

I hadn't noticed, but haven't hit the archives in a bit. Overall, the appearance is much improved. And playback has seemed more stable, but that's just my impression. Hope they add the ability to login in the future.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:21pm
Alex of Chicago:

Navigating to a particular spot in an archived show is also better, especially those 3 hour shows. ;)
Avatar 10:22pm
Droll:

Last week at lunch someone told me they were getting rid of their Android because they were so frustrated with (bad) updates being crammed down their throat.

By way of comparison, I listened to UM swear at the FCC flawlessly from the archives just this afternoon on my iPhone (which has a pitifully small screen and it's own software treadmill)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:22pm
Uncle Michael:

I'd love it if someone could check. For example, on two different devices, any archives from earlier today are all listed as being from May 13.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:23pm
Uncle Michael:

Dorry about that, Droll. I should be nicer to the FCC.
Avatar 10:25pm
Whooda:

You better be nice to the FCC Uncle Michael, no doubt they have an order for millions of rounds of ammunition, just like the FDA and Dept. of Education.
Avatar 10:26pm
Holly in NC:

@UM, yes - and many other issues. NOT a fan of update, and @Alex I've had exact opposite experience re play back (so bad that I mostly listen on tunein radio ) - but again I start w assumption that problem is my phone, as seems we all are having wildly variant experiences. I have a Samsung Galaxy S3, fwiw. Which generally rocks, esp. for a free phone! :-)

I'm happy with the update. There's just that pesky date thing. I'd love it if the next version could rotate to landscape mode.
Avatar 10:44pm
Holly in NC:

@UM- plus 10 re landscape mode request!
Avatar 10:46pm

Hey EFD - the Klaus Johann Grobe album is called "Im Sinne der Zeit", not s/t

What is the address at sunset park?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:10pm

It's 39th St and 1st Ave - I don't have a street number, it just says Industry City Secret Party Cove. Hopefully it'll be somewhat obvious once you get to that corner?

I'd like to get my hands on one of those national tickets. I'm interested in attending Bolivia some night.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:23pm

I'm really happy to have a promo copy of that Cars LP that separates out all the tracks... makes it easy to play "All Mixed Up" without also getting the end of "Moving In Stereo!"

This 1-800-band is the best thing the Cars never did.

Indeed, Holly. I didn't really discover the full album until a few years after its release. My brother had it on cassette and once I started listening I couldn't stop.

Great show as usual, Evan. Thanks for turning me onto the Bok Bok single. Now that I've seen the original cover on Discogs, I'm sure I flipped past it more than a few times at record shops/fairs. Grrrrr!

Eddy, I know! Not something that would have immediately caught my eye without knowing who was involved.

P-90, yeah, that album's pretty great! Never heard it before the reissue.

@EFD: Shogun announced the Royal Headache split this week. Second album will still be released, though.

@ efd: and how many radio stations would you guess are giving it exposure, like it's getting here?

Exemplary show tonight, great
