A viking ship appears on the horizon, a likeness of Alice Coltrane carved into its bow. Rare birds flock together to sing Francoise Hardy as soul hits. A sunset of blips and bleeps fills the air.

Been taking loratidine, the non-sedating 24 hr. antihistamine (generic for Claritin). Still bad enough last night that I needed a blow of albuterol (bronchodilator). I recommend the loratidine, although its one side effect is dryness of the mouth & throat, which might impair your voice on air, but since you won't be on again for a week.... Rite Aid has a cheap, mouth-dissolving loratidine free base 10 mg.

Basically you can't go wrong. The cloud forest is well worth it. I've been to the Nicoya Peninsula and the Osa Peninsula. Both are great but take a while to get to. The UK thought about changing to kilometres in the 60's, but then The Who were about to release I Can See For Miles and put a stop to things right there and then, as it didn't have the same ring to it. Pete Townsend has it written in his contract that as long as he shall live the UK will continue with miles a measurement of distance between places....Loved Kevin Morby Trouble and have a copy of Harlem River, the Cate Le Bon collaboration is a favourite, but Sucker in the Void is the stand-out for me. Heard first on this here very show.

If Miles had been called Kilometre Davis - the world of jazz and indeed the world in general, would surely have been a sadder and more importantly, less cool place!
